Help with planning park days!

I’ll be staying on site Jan 20-26 at pop century with 4 park days (skyliner goes down for refurbishment on Jan 25 so I’d like to attend HS and Epcot prior to that date)

I’d also like to generally have a non park day after HS, Epcot and MK. (I’m ok having a park day scheduled after AK)

having trouble figuring out the best layout for park days. I’m told tonl stay away from magic Kingdom on a Monday and Epcot on weekends.

For that particular week after MLK day, you are going to be able to set it up however you want. Crowds are not going to be an issue for you after Tuesday, so seriously don’t overthink what days match up with what. I would probably save MK for last as the grand finale, and look at Epcot on Tues, non park on Wed, HS on Thurs, non park on Fri, AK on Saturday and finish with MK on Sunday or Monday.

Thank you for the advice! Wasn’t too sure if I should rely so much on the crowd levels per park assigned by touring plans or not.

Are you going to a park on arrival day? I’m trying to figure out how to get four park days and three rest days. How early will you arrive?

20 - arrive & say, AK
21 - park
22 - rest
23 - park
24 - rest
25 - park
26 - travel home

Jan 20 is arrival day no park!

I’m actually transitioning to universal for a couple days on the 26th, so I’m ok on having a park day that day!

Will you stay though PM entertainment on the 26th? If not, which one(s) isn’t important to you?

Sorry, what is PM entertainment?

I also think I like the idea of AK on Wed and then leading into another park on thursday as it’ll be a shorter day at AK

Will you stay for fireworks at 9PM or 9:30PM before you head over to Univeral? If not, you need to pick a park you don’t care about the PM entertainment for your last day.
Parades still aren’t listed for those dates (they were late to post for Nov. or Dec. too).

Yeah that’s the hard part. I was kinda liking AK on that last day because of the early end time.

BUT, having AK earlier with a park next day makes sense too to avoid late night/early morning .

It’s tough!

Are you planning to RD?
Who is your travel party?
I come from a family of staying til close and RD with rest days when possible.
9PM isn’t THAT late as long as you aren’t starting at AK the following day.

EP open to close - you could be in bed by 10/10:15PM and still RD the next day the first two days of your trip.

21 - EP
22 - HS
23 - rest
24 - MK
25 - rest
26 - AK (this is easily done by 4PM if you aren’t doing ALL the shows.)

I’m very much leaning this way!

My only concern is magic Kingdom on a Saturday.

I suppose I could switch magic Kingdom to Thursday and put Epcot or Hollywood studios in for Saturday instead.

I’ll have a 5 year old, so that’s my only flag with the late nights/early mornings. Kinda thinking I should have a rest day before magic Kingdom to rest up haha.

Decisions decisions!

Depends on the child. Have fun!

If there is a festival going on, Epcot is very crowded on the weekend with lots of drinking around the world. I’d opt for MK.
