I’d like to do the Skyliner circuit. It’s 1:20 PM now and our dinner reservation isn’t until 8:30 PM at DS.
Should I drive to Hollywood Studios? And start a circle there? Can somebody please tell me what order I will hit the resorts? And then I can finish at Hollywood Studios and drive back to my hotel or then directly to Disney Springs?
That is probably the easiest, yes.
I should add…it isn’t exactly a circle. You can also branch off to take the Skyliner over to Pop/AoA and then come back.
But, if you take Skyliner from HS, you can do CBR, AoA/Pop, come back around to Epcot (maybe even throw in Riviera) and visit Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club/Swan/Dolphin.

We did a non-park day once where we parked at DHS, took Skyliner to Epcot stopping at RR, then walked back to DHS stopping in YC/BC/BW along the way.
Is your goal to be able to drive home from Disney Springs after the drone show?
Yes.
We will hopefully go to hotel before dinner to switch clothes. Dinner is 8:35PM.

Also, I only just recently realized that you go alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way around the resorts from Epcot to basically cross the street to HS 
This has amazed me since I first saw a map back when it was being built.
I thought this must be phase one - with other phases making sense of these routes.
