I have travelled before with members of my party coming in on days different than checkin it check out. They were able to use MDE but they were also on the reservation.

Yes, sorry I should have said between arrival and departure day. Everyone listed has the right to one journey in each direction during the duration of the stay.
You cannot use it a day early, for example, if staying at The Swan for a night. Or if you move offsite, you cannot Uber back to WDW a week later and take DME back to the airport.
