Hello there! Welcome to our little trans-generational joyride, folks - TR, maybe?

9/26 - Travel Day!

-MIL & FIL are driving and will be at Hilton to start off and they are going to MNSSHP tonight (as they are graciously acting as babysitters for the nieces when the rest of us attend later in the trip).
-SIL group has midday flights and are checking in straight to CBR. They plan to use the pool and just generally get settled into the resort.
-BIL/wife and Tampa cousins arrive tomorrow.

Dropped DD5 at school. Finishing up the last minute packing/cleaning/prep checklist. Heading to the airport directly from school pickup.

My family has a very late flight (scheduled arrival at MCO at 10:50pm) and our only goal is to get to the Hilton and go to sleep as soon as possible.

Not sure I’ll be able to do a live trip report but will try to at least post some pics! Definitely plan to post a recap after to see how far off the rails everything ends up!

MIL and FIL are at MNSSHP.

SIL and family made it to CBR. We got the building we asked for in our request! She asked the desk and they told her we’re all assigned in the same building. Hooray!

We are through security at the airport and having dinner before boarding our 8pm flight.

So far so good!

9/27 - Day 1 - Saturday

Today’s Plan:

SIL and fam are headed to UOR for the day.

BIL and his wife have an afternoon flight and should land at MCO around 6pm.

The Cousin crew are driving up from Tampa and staying off-site but they should arrive sometime mid-morning.

MIL&FIL are taking our luggage and plan to check-in at CBR, get their ECV delivered, then meet up with the Tampa group.

Meanwhile my family is taking advantage of the free waterpark day and heading to Typhoon Lagoon for some lazy river and splash pad fun! Gonna grab breakfast in DS then get into the park by 11am. We’ll head to CBR by 4pm to shower and dress for dinner.

We have 6:30pm reservations at Sebastion’s Bistro for ourselves and MIL/FIL, but we may pivot and all head to Disney Springs instead. Will make that call before we leave Typhoon Lagoon.

If we stick around the resort for dinner, still have energy, and BIL group have an easy travel day, we may take the skyliner after dinner over to the Boardwalk for them to get dinner and have drinks/dessert.

We’re awake and dressed and about to head out. Let’s see what happens! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Started out finding a BB unit in the hotel lobby. Then headed to DS for breakfast. Was pleasantly impressed with the Earl of Sandwich breakfast options.

Then as we walked to the bus stop got on to a waiting Typhoon Lagoon bus and had a private coach to the water park.

Much fun! Had a small tumble walking from the wave pool back to our stroller as we were planning to leave. DH was carrying DD and slipped in a puddle and they both went down. Had to take a quick trip to first aid where they patched up DDs foot and checked her head (weren’t sure if she hit it on the concrete) and DHs knee.

A bucket of popcorn later and we were all good again.

We were wiped out from the pool and so decided to head to CBR to check in.

Had a quick snack and coffee in the lobby while we waited for our room ready notification. Then grabbed our luggage from bell services. A kind stranger pixie dusted DD with a Mickey balloon as they were checking out since they couldn’t bring it in the plane! DD was ecstatic!

We’ve cancelled our Sebastian’s reservation and instead will head to DS to shop for new Magic Bands and graze since we’re still pretty full from our afternoon snacking.

This plan includes meeting up with the Tampa group, MIL/FIL, and then BIL and wife may join after their flight lands at 6pm.

Oh, so sorry! Hope they are doing okay.

Thankfully just minor scrapes. All patched up with princess bandaids and on to the next thing!

Spent the evening at DS. DD got a new magic band (she picked the Halloween Mickey one!) and ate at Morimoto Asian Street Food. We ordered a few different things and everything we had was excellent!

Tomorrow’s plan:

9/28 - Magic Kingdom/Hollywood Studios

This is our LL/ride focused MK day. It’s a MNSSHP day but we’re planning to hop to HS around 4pm.

LLs:

9:45am Peter Pan

11:35am Haunted Mansion

1:15pm Pirates

2:35pm Tron

Anticipating snagging a 12pm Tiana (on the drop), 2:30pm Space Mt., and then if possible a 5pm MMRR and/or 7pm MFSR.

We’ll rope drop Teacups and Small World, as those are our traditional “I’m not at Disney until I’ve done these” rides for our group.

From there we’ll hustle through fantasy land trying to do WtP, Carousel, Dumbo, Barnstormer, and Little Mermaid before our PPF LL and 11:20 Peter Pan meet and greet.

With a quick stop at Friar’s Nook for breakfast somewhere in there.

Then we’ll visit HM and Tiana on our way over to Adventureland. Lunch at Pecos Bills.

Pirates, Tiki Room and maybe Magic Carpets are on the list before we split up. “Little” kids will watch the afternoon parade, while the “Big” kids head over to Tomorrowland for SM, Tron and a pumpkin cold brew from Auntie Gravity’s. If we’re somehow ahead of schedule, I would also like to take a breather on the Peoplemover.

By 4pm, we’ll regroup on Main Street to head over to HS.

If we were able to snag a 5pm MMRR we’ll do that first. Then attempt to get into the 6pm Villain’s show.

Fantasmic! has an 8pm and 9:30pm showing that night, so we’ll probably go to the second one unless the weather is a concern.

Which should give us time to hike across the park so we can see Galaxy’s Edge at night. My 5yo really got into Star Wars in the last year and she is SUPER excited to see this area. We’ll probably hop on Star Tours, then attempt MFSR. If we didn’t get a LL and the line is too long we have another HS day later in the trip to ride it.

After Fantasmic! we’ll catch the skyliner back to CBR and call it a night!

Stay tuned to see if any of this happens as planned! :upside_down_face::joy:

I need to give this another shot. It was a miss for me a few years ago. Not sure if it was an off day or if I chose poorly

We did the chicken bao buns, dumplings, shrimp tempura sushi roll, and salmon onigiri. The bao buns were my favorite but the sushi was very good too. The shrimp were crispy and all tasted freshly made. My kid loves dumplings (or pot stickers or any name for that kind of item) and shared only one out of her order that DH and I had to share, but it was yummy and had a nice lemongrass flavor to it which stood out as different than the norm for those in my experience. Would happily go there again!
