HEA Dessert party or FEA Dessert party

I have both booked at the moment - but only going to keep 1- which one would you choose and why?

ty - will definitely check it out - also looking for opinions if people have experienced one or the other - what are your thoughts?

We’ve done both. DD’s absolute favorite was the FEA one. Better food, better view, great CMs (including a PhotoPass guy) and she loved being able to walk straight onto FEA after. DH and I enjoyed a glass of wine with our desserts which was nice.

I must admit that I’ve always preferred the Epcot dessert parties. They feel a bit more intimate, and the CMs are always great. Oh, and there’s wine… :rofl::rofl::rofl:

:smile: thanks - thats good to know! We didnt get a FP for FEA so was thinking this a guarantee that we would get to ride at least once - do you get to see the fireworks with this one also or ?

I’ve done all three HEA dessert parties (Plaza Gardens before, Plaza Gardens after, and Tomorrowland Terrace) and the FEA party.

Insofar as I’ve only done the FEA party once, but the HEA parties multiple times, I guess I think that is the better choice.

This is because I think HEA is vastly superior to IllumiNations. And it’s not that difficult to find a spot to see IllumiNations. The draw of the parties to me is the primo viewing without the hassle.

Getting a ride on FEA is definitely a bonus — it helps planning and mitigates the tiering system at Epcot. Though FEA is possibly overrated.

I enjoyed the food offerings at both. I’m not a big drinker. I tried the cocktails at the FEA party and hated them. Far too strong for my taste.

I booked FEA for after illuminations is gone - so will be Epcot Forever - 10/3. So the party includes the fireworks show and then a ride of FEA - wasnt sure if it was just FEA.

Yes - you watch the fireworks first and then you’re escorted to FEA. :slight_smile:

I have done both. I liked the FEA dessert party better–better food, better atmosphere. BUT the advantage of the HEA dessert party is greater. Finding a spot to watch the nighttime show at Epcot is not difficult like it is at MK. For the HEA party I do prefer the after fireworks one.

ty - more to think about :slight_smile: i was leaning towards FEA just because of DD and wanting to get that guaranteed ride in - but again -we do have it as rope drop in our TP - so it could technically be our 2nd time on…

I enjoyed that episode but remind me- I think they were wrong about the Fantasmic dessert party seating location?

Ohhh, I don’t know! It’s been a while since I listened and I’ve also never done the Fantasmic dessert party!

(I’ve never done ANY dessert parties actually! I listened so attentively to the episode because I was on the fence about doing one.)

For me it’s HEA because I’m paying for the view of the show. We have elementary age children, and I want them to be able to see. Also, I don’t want to be in the mass of humanity in front of the castle without elbow room for that long. I don’t drink, so the availability of alcohol isn’t a factor for me, except that I’d rather not pay for it when I’m not going to drink it.
