Have you ever been stuck on or evacuated from a Disney ride?

We have been a few times. Pirates, Haunted Mansion. My family (without me) got stuck on Splash Mountain during an evening EMH for 1 hour 15 mins and did not get off until after the park closed, we were given anytime FP, but it was our last night there. We also got stuck and evacuated off Spaceship Earth- all the lights went on and we had to walk down a winding spiral staircase to the bottom.

Nope. It would be my last trip on that ride!

My DH and I were the last people to get on Space Mountain before they closed. Half way through the ride it stopped and lights came on. It was crazy to see SM with the lights on. We waited about 20 minutes before a CM could make it down to us. He informed us that we had to wait for Fire and Rescue to evacuate us because we were in a “danger zone.” Fire and Rescue had to physically pick us up and set us on the stairway. The CM who waited with us was so nice gave us a ton of fast passes. By the time we got outo the park was empty and we got to watch the kiss goodnight. It is one of my favorite Disney memory.

Great story! And love your “name”!!

We were a code-alpha on HM last year. Right by Lizzie Borden and very near the “top”. CM had to stay with us and told us stories about the ride while we waited for the Reddy Creek FD. They used a transfer chair for DS. It was funny, Fireman Dave helped DS David out. Made it to BOG dinner in time, and received a photo Op and FPP.

Got stuck on the HM ride in Paris when I was 14 (phantom manor I think it’s called there). It was only 5 minutes or so, I think someone was struggling out of a buggy, but to me it seemed a lot longer. I have a phobia of waxworks and I can only deal with rides like HM and Pirates because I’m not too near them and you keep moving. Until of course you stop. Embarrassingly enough I was near one of the least scary models and it wasn’t even moving but that didn’t stop my panic attack. My mum was mortified. Not fun at all. I had a similar moment on spaceship Earth last November when one of the models suddenly turned and made eye contact with me. Luckily the slow descent gave me time to calm down before anyone saw me!

Not at Disney, but at Uni, on Mummy…my family was walked by a employee off, straight to Forbbiden Journey in HP area, and walked to the front of the line! Awesome!

When I was younger, I was riding Space Mountain and they turned the lights on. They stayed in the rest of the ride.

I love that this thread came back up! Any more stories!?

We got stuck on Peter Pan last summer. Our ‘ship’ was at one of the downward tilting points and we had a 3 1/2 year old with us. The emergency exit lights came on a couple of times and I was imagining having to climb down a ladder to exit, but about 25 minutes later it started moving again. Whew! We got a free paper fastpass out of it.

Oh dear! My mum’s friend had a panic attack on Peter pan as it was, she didn’t like being high. If it had stopped I’m pretty sure she would have freaked worse and maybe tried to jump out

We got stuck and had to be evacuated from TSMM when it broke down. It was a long, slow process as they went around to each ride vehicle to let the people out and we all fell in line. We got a paper FP, but lost quite a bit of touring time.

I never added my most recent breakdown!

We got majorly stuck in Pirates of the Caribbean last summer. After maybe 5-10 minutes they turned on the lights and turned off the music, but the animatronics were still chuffing along (which was surprisingly eerie) in blissful silence for another 5-10 minutes or so. After everything stopped (and I got a quick snapchat video, with a dumb joke about Pirates meets Frozen before CMs waded out and scolded people for taking photos :smiling_imp:) they proceeded to drag each boat to an area where we could step out onto the scenery and walk off backstage.

We emerged from the building all the way at the back, in an area that looked like the backside of a strip mall, and were led on a fairly long walk around to a fence that opened onto Adventureland, just to the right of Pirates. They gave us FPs (good until the end of the month), water, frozen lemonades and Mickey bars (which left a huge mess on the concrete there, since there were dozens of us and it was about 95°) and the ride eventually opened later that evening.

The PeopleMover in April. DS now calls it ‘The PeopleStopper’. CMs came up and started opening the doors and escorting people off the platform. We were the last section to be evacuated. Since we watched them walk multiple groups to the stairs just to the left of us, many bailed early instead of waiting for the CMs. We waited about 10 minutes and were rewarded with FPs which we gladly took to ride Space Mountain for the 4th time that trip!

We have only had a couple minor breakdowns of 10 to 15 minutes. I remember The Seas with Nemo (yep song stuck in head the rest of the day), briefly stuck on Peter pan looking down at the city, and breifly stuck on Small world. We did not have to be walked out and did not get fast passes for any of them

When I was a kid i got stuck on Splash Mt at DL and got to walk out of the ride - it was after the drop.

Last trip DH and I got stuck at the top of BTMRR at MK. We were up there for like an hour or so. It was very very late at night during EMH. And we got to see the eclipse and fireworks. I think they called the Fire Department to get us down. We each got a huge stack of anytime FP that were good for multiple days. When we got walked off the ride we weren’t allowed to take any photos or they said they would take our cameras/phones.

@Eve626, were the FPs just for BTMRR or any ride?
