Have I found my people?

@sethpetryjohnson- funny you should mention. I just got off the phone with David’s dvc rental. haha. Fam has asked me to research options, they came to the right lady, me!

David’s was extremely helpful, so nice people there. For 8 people in Copper Creek, new villas WL, comes out to 260 no add charges, per fam, for 3 fams, 2 bedrooms. I love me a challenge!

I have more research ahead, good thing I like to do this!

Y’know, I kinda had that feeling about you. You definitely give off the impression of someone who would not even book the flight until the morning of because it’s so inconsequential to you.

Now…you’re FRIEND on the other hand…he’s insane. In a good way, but insane.

I think we’ve all been to WDW on days that have masses of people trudging to their ̶d̶o̶o̶m̶ fun, but still had a great trip.

Last year our Friday in MK was especially crowded, yet we hit all of the attractions we planned and didn’t wait more than 15 minutes for anything the entire trip (except for a last minute call on FEA after Illuminations since we had never been on it. It ended up being 30 minutes, which was fine.)

In fact, on that trip my DW started feeling bad for the masses of people as we kept scoring FPPs and strolling past queues of standby people starting into heat space.

There are certainly times when you have to punt the plan for a step or two (ride down, downpour, unexpected bus wait, etc) but with the tools in the Liner toolbox, there’s always a fun alternative to go for instead, even if it is just a Mickey pretzel and people watching.

Not gonna lie, It was actually REALLY difficult to coordinate everything even then. I felt I could’ve benefited from 3 more screens. The Disney Site had to be sometimes on two screens cause it sucks and kept crashing, and because it was where everything needed to happen. Then there’s need to have the Forums up, the tourplans indepth analysis pages up, calculator, spreadsheet, calendar, actual touringplan (for that day), etc…

And then I would have tabbed windows and be like “WHERE’S THAT BROWSER WINDOW?! I NEED TO SETUP A FAST PASS!”

Like a cracked-out monkey? awww thank you!

I felt the same way when I started looking at the forums.
Not that I hadn’t been a planner before that, in fact I used TP on my 2010 & 2015 trips, but now I have also ‘found my people’
Honestly planning the trip is a huge part of the fun for me. I may, umm possibly be a bit obsessive but when I went on a trip with my Sister & her family they gave me a little bit of a hard time about being and I quote "a fun natzi) but they also said that they saw & did way more than if I hadn’t planned - and my BIL always has a schedule for the day now when they go

I remember that crazy friend of yours! We haven’t heard from him in awhile… isn’t he working on s new spread sheet?

He’s in a specialist treatment facility.

Ah that explains it! Please tell him that the forum is not the same without his frequent posts. Hopefully his first stop from the clinic is WDW and spreadsheets start appearing soon!

It’s currently boggling my mind that this same level of info isn’t available, even on this same site, for UO. I need more, or the UO days will be ruined! Can’t.relax.and.wing.it!

Lol, you can do it!

Going to replicate this on a future trip. Is there a copyright?

Wouldn’t count on it. My DM told me the other day that we’d been “very lucky” to get on FoP in five minutes without a FPP on a CL 9 day. Luck?? How’s about a full year of research right here on this site and RD and strategy and…
sigh unappreciated sigh

You have found your people. Whenever anyone questions The Plan I just say ‘The Plan Knows ‘, after a while they eventually just accept that The Plan does know!

Hi everyone, newbie here and need to book my FPs soon for our family trip of 9 (7 adults, 2 kids). I don’t have kids and my bf can’t go as he just started a new job so I’m odd man out, yet still in charge of our WDW plan. 6 days there and 3 days at Universal. We have some ADRs through our trip but should our schedules depend first on crowd levels, then EMH (or vice versa) to schedule FPs?
If this question is in the wrong area I apologise. Please let me know where it would be more appropriate. TIA! Michelle

Are you planning on using EMH’s? If you want to use that extra hour you need to RD it, which means a minimum of 1/2 hr before it opens (and depending on the time of year 1hr is better)
If you are not going to be able to do that - then I wouldn’t go to the parks with EMHs.
If you have ADRs that you are happy with, unless there is a very large difference in CL between parks on a specific day (which there isn’t usually) then go with the parks that you have your ADRs in already
