Just booked my LLs and GOTG ILL and try as I might, everything is a bit later than I had hoped. We have 3 LLs 12:25-2:15. Our GoTG window is 2:15-3:15, and we have a Le Cellier ADR at 2:45 for the last available lunch reservation of the day. There are no early dinner reservations available. Even under the best circumstances, I don’t think we could get there on time. I will continue trying to rearrange but I am not optimistic. And I really prefer to do this ride before we eat vs after.
Any chance if we show up early for GoTG and show them our ADR they will let us on, say 15 min early? (I know about the grace period after but that obviously won’t help.) Or, should I call Disney now? Or, try to speak to a blue person in the park day of? Or, give up my ADR?
For future reference, you can show up 5 min early to a LL and 15 min late for an ADR, so you actually could have done 2:10pm LL > 3:00pm check in for Le Cellier. Which is tight and doesn’t allow for anything to go wrong, but doable. If you had been late for your ADR, I bet it wouldn’t have been a problem given that 3pm is hardly a busy time for most restaurants, and even walk-ins might not wait long around then.
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn’t sure if there would be some sort of “cut off” between lunch and dinner that would make them not inclined to let us show up a few mins past the grace period. This does feel high stakes so I am glad I got lucky. Thanks for the help!
Looks like there is only a 5-minute turnover between lunch and dinner. If they wanted to clear the restaurant out they’d need at least an hour if not 2-3. So I bet they will let people check in any time.
I swear sometimes my brain stops working logically when I am planning Disney. Plus my rule following urge and need to be on time is very strong! Ha! I will take this into account for next time.
Yes. Brutal. They went to that format a few years ago. We are essentially treating it as a lunch/dinner combo. And we will probably share some things so we can also enjoy the festival food a bit at some point. We have never eaten here before. It was chosen largely as a solid gluten free option for our guest, after hearing many mixed things about the non-Disney restaurants in Epcot.
We are contemplating staying all day at Epcot, so this will serve as a well-needed afternoon break.
