Has anyone rope dropped GoG but started at the International Gateway. I’m wondering what that experience was like and what kind of waits you had. TP has the wait at 49 minutes and thinks I’ll be there around 0846 if I go to GoG first.

IG usually starts letting people thru the taps by 8AM. I am guessing they send those who want to rope drop Guardians on into the park closer to Guardians at a waiting point. I bet you’ll be there before 8:46.

It was virtual queue when I went - but I read some blogger had a surprisingly short wait by going after the early entry folks were making their way through the pre-show but before the regular rope-droppers could get in line I E just before official opening time.

That is my plan for my next WDW trip (if I can convince DD11 and DS8 to wake up earlier than they would like). I’m hoping for a wait of about 30 mins, expecting more like 45 mins, and know that there’s a possibility it could be about 60 mins.
