I really want Mickey waffles! I am nearly 30 years gluten free and Mickey waffles are special
I need help securing my mouse shaped breakfast treat! My trip will only accommodate 2 full park days (staying at the Swan) and I want to rope drop both days (AK, then MK).
Q1: What time do I need to arrive at the entrance to effectively accomplish an 8:30 EE rope drop? It is a party day at MK, predicated crowd level 2/10.
Q2: Do restaurants with ADRs allow takeaway? I have a 7:35 AM ADR for Steakhouse 71. Would I be able to show up for my reservation and then just order takeaway and be at the MK entrance close to 8 AM.
Q3: Any GF Mickey waffles around DS? The rest of the trip, I’ll be staying at a DS hotel for a work conference. But, I haven’t been able to find DS restaurants that offer GF Mickey waffles. My days will be early and full, so breakfast at a resort isn’t really an option.
Can you go to a hotel that serves a breakfast buffet like Cape May Cafe maybe? My mother has celiacs and I’m pretty darn sure whenever we’ve done those kinds of buffets they bring her a plate full of things like waffles, muffins, cookies, that are gluten free. Like so many she could eat on it for days LOL.
I do not think they could stop you from ordering and immediately asking for a to go box. But that still might take more than 25 minutes and that walk is about 10 minutes or so. You can definitely make 8:30am but I doubt 8am.
I don’t know of any place at DS that has allergy waffles but I know that steakhouse 71 offers allergy waffles if you are able to order a takeaway meal!
Worst case, could you pick up GF waffles at Contempo Cafe? That might be a lot of food in combo with Steakhouse 71 - I don’t know how well they’d keep until the next day.
Closest I’ve found so far to Disney Springs is Artist’s Palette at Saratoga Springs.
ETA: When staying at the Swan, you could walk over to the Market at Ale and Compass, get waffles there, and use the Yacht Club buses?
Breakfast in DS is grossly lacking unless you want eggs or a sweet pastry. Unless it’s a weekend brunch. You mentioned being tight on time, but going to a nearby resort for QS is your best bet. Saratoga Springs is probably the best option.
You can get gluten free Mickey waffles at any of the Disney resort quick services! I would order to go from any of the monorail resorts. Poly or GF would be nice, you could take the boat back over to mk, enjoying some hot gf waffles! Also Ale & Compass usually has an adult waffle option that has flavored whipped cream etc (in Sept it was chocolate waffles with tiramisu whipped cream and chocolate shavings and cherries), I was able to get the gf waffles with those toppings!!
You probably already decided, but most of the restaurants open at 7:30, which is when you should be arriving for EE. 7:45 at the latest. Therefore, you will be in a hurry and eating on the go. MK is very manageable on a party day when you rope drop. Consider opting for lunch verses breakfast. I do believe restaurants like Ale & Compass and Whispering Canyon Cafe have Mickey waffles on their lunch menu.
