Still new to genie+(last visit was 2014). I have a question about stacking MK LL for the evening. If I schedule an AK LL then my next available would be at 10(since 8 open plus 120 minutes). Now can I modify that LL to say Jungle Cruise later in the day? And if so, will my next available still be at 10? If that works it means I could possibly get better times since I’m an hour ahead of the normal 120 minutes at the MK.
I think it should work. But unless it’s very crowded there shouldn’t be too many LL that are booking past 2 at 10 am in MK so you may need to modify to later AK times a bit before you modify to an MK ride. BG1 made it easy to modify from a ride at one park to another. I’ve heard the interface for the Disney app may be worse here. Generally stacking at HS is more important / valuable than stacking at MK because MK just has so much more inventory of LL rides. So personally I would make sure you get the value you want from G+ in AK before worrying about starting to stack. Again assuming it’s not a CL9 or 10 day.
Your plan should work. Are you planning on tapping in at AK at some point? Or doing the Hokey Pokey? (Changing your APR to MK once you get your first LL.)
This is a good question because I read it as not planning to go to AK, just use the opening/booking time to get ahead. (This reads as judgy to me but I promise I don’t mean it to!)
No it won’t work, sadly. I tested this in Jan. If you modify your first LL to another park, the 2nd park’s opening time is used to determine when you’re eligible to book your 2nd LL.
What if they don’t modify until after booking the next one?
Only most recent booked LL affects eligibility, so if you modify your 1st LL after booking 2nd, it has no effect on when you can book your 3rd.
You’re saying the plan will work as long as they don’t modify the first one to the other park until after they’ve booked LL#2 right?
So potentially they could book an LL at AK, wait until 10, and book something for MK as their second? And then at some point modify the first LL to something at MK?
To me it seems easier to just book at MK even without the time advantage, but I know that’s not what was asked.
Arbitrage is always more work than it’s worth for most people, but it rewards those who will do the work.
One other detail - hoppers would be needed to pull this off, right? Just making sure everything is covered.
Yes, this should work. You end up with 2 LL’s booked by 10am, as opposed to 1 at 7am and 1 at 11am using a conventional approach. I don’t see much advantage of doing that at MK, but maybe at Epcot on a busy day when the headliners all run out prior to 11am.
I assume so, although with hokey pokey (or when APR goes away next year) there may be additional shenanigans possible
That won’t work, sorry.
You cannot modify an LL to a different park. You would need to cancel and rebook. And that will reset the clock.
This is true with MDE. You can modify to a different park with BG1.
