From Disney Dedicated to Universal / Sea World Newbie

@darkmite made a great post noting motion sickness effects (among other things) for all attractions at UOR. I keep it bookmarked:

My own thoughts:

  1. I always take a full strength Dramamine before bed each night of my trip, and one 1/2 tablet of “Less Drowsy” Dramamine about 30 minutes before I do my first motion simulator ride of each day. This has made a huge difference and allowed me to experience most attractions once.
  2. The only ride that I will never do again is Forbidden Journey. It’s worth trying once, but I have never been so close to vomiting while still on the ride. If you’d rather not risk it, at least walk through the queue.
  3. Transformers and Spider-Man are not far off of Star Tours – maybe a little less sickness-inducing for me. They are very well done so I recommend trying them.
  4. Despicable Me Minion Mayhem has stationary seating, but even that made me a little nauseated.
  5. Gringotts doesn’t bother me at all, but does have some minor simulation.
  6. Hagrid’s and Velocicoaster don’t have any simulated effects and they are my two favorite rides at UOR.

Have a great time! Disney has my heart, but I love visiting UOR as often as occasion permits.
