@darkmite made a great post noting motion sickness effects (among other things) for all attractions at UOR. I keep it bookmarked:
My own thoughts:
- I always take a full strength Dramamine before bed each night of my trip, and one 1/2 tablet of “Less Drowsy” Dramamine about 30 minutes before I do my first motion simulator ride of each day. This has made a huge difference and allowed me to experience most attractions once.
- The only ride that I will never do again is Forbidden Journey. It’s worth trying once, but I have never been so close to vomiting while still on the ride. If you’d rather not risk it, at least walk through the queue.
- Transformers and Spider-Man are not far off of Star Tours – maybe a little less sickness-inducing for me. They are very well done so I recommend trying them.
- Despicable Me Minion Mayhem has stationary seating, but even that made me a little nauseated.
- Gringotts doesn’t bother me at all, but does have some minor simulation.
- Hagrid’s and Velocicoaster don’t have any simulated effects and they are my two favorite rides at UOR.
Have a great time! Disney has my heart, but I love visiting UOR as often as occasion permits.
