Do I need to link my Magic Bands to MDE before I do the fast passes. I ask because 2 of us have our Magic Bands and the third (yes, he’s that guy) wants to wait til we get there and make a custom band.
I have a spare band I could load his stuff on, but don’t know how hard that would be to transfer.
And can all that Magic Band stuff wait til after I get our Fast Passes? Or should I do it before.
You do not. 
Your tickets must be there. Bands are not required.

Also, you can’t transfer magic bands, unless you are referring to a brand new one that has never been linked to MDE.

So just link it to his account and he can use it, but it will be his forever. When he gets his custom one and links that, he can use them interchangeably.
