Food and Wine. Honest review websites by a foodie?

Anyone run into a good blog by a foodie that gives an honest low-down on the F&W Booths? Everything can’t be amazing and a guy can only eat so much.

The reviews at EasyWDW seem to be more honest. Here are the links.

Totally agree. I find the easywdw reviews very honest. The disneyfoodblog likes EVERYTHING so its great for photos and info but not for actual opinions.

I’m hoping @DarthDopey will give her opinions when she gets home too.

What am I @SallyEppcot, chopped liver? I did partake in the food as well as the booze…

My favorites were the scallop in Scotland, the escargot in France, and the trout in Canada. My family’s favorites were the filet in Canada, the fisherman’s pie in Ireland, and the pork belly in Brazil. The lobster alfredo in America also got high marks from my kids. The tilapia in Brazil was only ok, as was the ravioli and the chicken in Italy. Australia was a disappointment for me too. The lamb chop was fatty and the shrimp too garlicky (says a woman who loves garlic). I loved all the drinks for the most part, but I am not picky in that department. The sake gel did have a kind of icky texture that didn’t appeal to me, but @DarthDopey loved it.

Hey. Thanks. Any desserts/sweets that were big for you guys?

We really liked the creme brulee in France and I am not usually a creme brulee fan. I also loved the coconut candy in Brazil but I LOVE coconut. If you don’t, it will probably be too sweet for you. The warm chocolate pudding in Ireland was also fantastic.

Hey! I’m the chopped liver, remember?? Hahahaha.

I have some quick reviews of some of what I ate on my Instagram: dopeyd73.

Hoping to put together a more comprehensive review when I get back.

There was also a live review of new items on the WDWNT podcast that was pretty honest.

Thanks everyone.

The easy WDW reviews definitely seem more balanced than the Disney Food blog.

I’ve now got a list of 16 food items (5 are sweets) and 4 drinks I want to try.

Seems do-able as I think I’ll have 4 “meal” times at F&W

Josh at easywdw has just posted a PDF version of his reviews. Might make it easier to read (and reference in park as he says) than having to jump about the site
