Flying Southwest and getting credits when the prices go down

While this may have once been true, it isn’t currently accurate. You CAN change just one leg of a round trip ticket, you aren’t required to change both. So there is no additional cost savings to booking one way vs. round trip. You can select only one or both legs of the trip when you go to modify it. **edited to add screenshot of the process below

You can call up your existing flight using your confirmation number, and follow the steps to modify from there. Sometimes the flight is in the “My trips” section of the site/app, and sometimes it isn’t (my current trip isn’t, I suspect because it wasn’t booked through my account, but through my mother’s and my RR # added to my seat, but I have a confirmation # independent of hers, so I just use that when checking).

Yes, the existing flights I had are listed. If I rebook, I could save $14. I opted out. :slight_smile:
