We booked our return flight in December yesterday with RR points when they opened them up…was not impressed at all with the options from my city to Orlando, only one nonstop that arrives at 9 pm, yuck! The other options weren’t great either so we booked that flight with another airline. At least it’s all done now!
Looked at an $88 Allegiant flight for a minute but decided against it lol.
I heard on a radio broadcast last year that the beginning to middle of October happens to be the time when most airlines will discount their airfare for about a week. I’m sorry, but I can’t remember the exact dates. Using this advice, I was able to book one way from Orlando to Chicago on SW for $79 a person. During the same time., I got $99 per person one way from Chicago to Orlando on United. So no matter what you do, I would check back in in early to mid October.
