I’m new to going to universal but I promised Dd11 we would do it this April vacation.
I have downloaded the app and made myself a profile and need to order tickets. Looks like my two options are digital ones or picking them up at will call. I want to avoid the latter. How do I setup an account for my little and link it to my account? Is this possible?
And what happens then. We are going one day so don’t want to buy bands or whatever equivalent of magic bands are… so how do we scan into the park ?

Are you staying at Universal or just going for the day?
You can scan in both tickets from your phone, or get a paper ticket at a hotel lobby (planning desk) or kiosk. There are also kiosks outside the gates.

If you download the app and create a universalorlandovacations account you will get digital tickets in the app if your purchase them thru the app. Beware if you do this for express pass that some rides that require lockers like Rip Ride Rocket make you store your phone before you need to scan the express pass so let an attendant know when you get to the attraction that you need a paper pass prior to putting your phone away in the locker.

Yes…
In the App click on Profile in the bottom right corner.
From there press Wallet - upper row on left
Then Add Tickets/Passes.
You can scan or manually enter ticket numbers from the email attachment they send you
