Nope, I work in health insurance! But this particular conference was a technology vendor who works across industries. Health insurers definitely don’t have this kind of money now a days!
Ah gotcha! This was a 20,000 international pharmacist convention. They definitely made enough money off of our tickets to pay for it 
I was there - we had our national Pimento Loaf Press Operators union convention there a few years ago

I thought that Big Lunchmeat broke the union and replaced all the Press Operators with robots…
This was back in 96 when we merged with the Bologna contingency.
