Thanks @mnigh !! That’s great info because both those days were very low crowd levels based on TP’s rating system. And you are right…we have to find a way to ride it once. With kids as young as ours, a hour or more wait in line isn’t going to work for us. I’ll try some of the things folks mentioned here (including RD) and worst case keep an eye on the SD line and try to get it when its 30-45 minutes at least … even that is pushing it a little bit. The one lucky thing for us is that we are there for 8 days and we hit the MK 3 times… so at least we will get a few swings at it !!
@sally3311- I am hoping 7D’s RD line for your trip shorter than happened on our midaug week. We did have fpps 9am, ride was down, so got anytime pass.
By time we got to the ride, from RD 9am entry, line already 60 mins. SB. Was a 7level day & we didn’t race with rest of crowd, so were not first to get to ride.
So I guess what I’m saying is if you plan to do RD sprint, be sure to be in beginning of turnstyle waiting crowd, head with much purpose to 7ds. Hopefully ride won’t be down that beginning of day, plus your visit may not be as high a crowd level in the park.
I would also definitely try previous poster’s strategy of 1 fpp at a time, then overlapping.
Thanks @staza ! Even though we are RD folks … we don’t sprint, jump, swim, kick, fly (though that would be cool) or do anything else like that on the way to any attraction. We’ll just head over there like we always have, let the cards fall where they might. We are all planners here, but at some point I just have to draw the line…and sprinting to a ride definitely crosses that line at least for us. We have already told the kids that there may be a slight possibility that we don’t get on that thing this year, BUT, if they choose to we will stand in an hour long line with them but we will let them make that choice at the MK if it comes to that, and they are fine with that …wise beyond their years!
Since I’m the one that started this thread I will keep everyone posted on how it is going through the FPP reservation process. Our first day in the park is MK on Nov 16, so 30 days before that its game on ! Hopefully this will help other folks in the same boat !! And Thanks to everyone who has posted so far…its been a ton of help !
Yes, let us know, and I hope that it goes well, in whatever way you need it to. And, yes, they are wise beyond their years, the littles we love.
@sadly3311- The day HS closes at 4pm, will have lighter crowds for the reasons you suspect. We don’t have many days in our database where the park closes at 4 and I would guess our predicted crowd level is too high. Don’t be surprised is the prediction goes down with the next update.
Awesome, Thanks Steve ! Our kids are still small so our days at the parks don’t go past 4PM anyway !
