In MDE app, I was just going through the motions of adding fast passes, since my fast pass day is in 2 days. I thought, it would just be grayed out from our arrival date on, but it is grayed out from August 7th on. Does it think I’m trying to make fast pass within the 30 day window? I can see my reservation for our Disney resort and dates listed in my plans. Is there something I need to do to link it so I can make my fast passes? My tickets are not specific date tickets. Does that matter?

Because you have tickets not associated with a package, you are eligible to book FPs within the next 30 days.
Once you reach 60 days from check-in, the dates of your stay will open up for you.
