FAA is slowing down flights in three major airports in Northeast, and in some parts of Florida, due to staffing problems during the government shutdown.
Funny, I was just talking to a TSA worker from Logan. He was saying there have not been a lot of sick calls. They appreciate that people have been bring gift cards for local supermarkets- they cannot accept cash and they are pooling the cards under direct supervision of supervisors. Many are driving Uber/Lyft on off hours. He said they all remember 911. They are coming to work because they will do whatever they can to stop anyone from getting on one of their planes again. My son’s girlfriend is flying next week and I am sending her with gift cards.
