I didn’t pay as much attention in the parks, but most stores I went into had a board and/or a mystery box behind the counter.

Character breakfasts at Garden Grill, Crystal Palace and Trattoria Al Forno! Plus 1900 Park Fare character dinner. And Mickeys Backyard BBQ was super fun in 2018. My kids like characters

Were the KidCot stations staffed/interactive when you were there? In June, they were grab-and-go tables with postcards IIRC. My kids loved them, but they weren’t crafty like before.

I seem to remember it being staffed. However, I was solo with no kids, so I wasn’t paying a lot of attention. It’s also been a month since I was there, and, well, I’ve had Covid in between.
