I’m running the math and I’m thinking it will be cheaper to get one AP + Epic Universe 1 Day Pass for the Royal Pacific hotel discount. Plus… The AP holder could potentially go to the park on a day that is a down day to ride anything we miss on the planned park days.
But! I have questions!
How much is the single day Epic Universe ticket, for say, 16 June?
Can you just go to the other parks included in your AP as much as you want as long as it is not a blackout date? This feels like… cheating? A seasonal AP isn’t that much different in price than a 3 day pass.
Not a question really, but I could potentially save $233 by rebooking the hotel with the APH discount… Again, am I missing something? It’s totally cool to get only one AP, right? RIGHT? That person still gets the Express Pass benefit? Obviously the other people do not get the added AP benefits.
Yes! Only the AP holder needs to book the room. However, IME, I’ve never been asked for proof. I’ve gone every couple months over the last 3 years with my AP and no one had bothered to check. The hotels are operated by a third-party and they just want the rooms filled.
I have seen one person on these forums that insists they’ve been asked for the AP at check-in.
EIther way, if you think you’ll go to Universal at least 4 days in the same 12 month it oays for itself!!
Thank you! I wasn’t able to see the prices without connecting an AP.
I don’t really understand Universal’s pricing strategy here, but, I’ll take it!
Totally get that. I used to use my AAA discount (legitimately) at various places and only ever had someone check once. Still, not willing to risk it this time!
Again, thanks for confirming! Best community ever.
