There are three Wizarding worlds now, though.
You’re not supposed to give me logic! 🫎
Sorry!
LOL! Now, that I’m “on sabbatical” I have plenty of free time if we need a second round of voting…
Here’s a poll to see if we want another poll!
- Yes! Let’s add the choices presented and only the previous winner
- No! We voted and it’s fine as is
I don’t really care but I voted yes to give you something exciting to do.
I’ve done yard work all morning! I’m eating snacks, playing video games and hanging out here… Today is alright!
May not be as great as a theme park, but I’m making it my own Epic Universe!!
I love polls! So yes.
I’ll get on it!
After reviewing all the new suggestions and first polls most of the winners are the same.
There are 3 names that “qualify” for a run-off…
First, by most popular request I’m adding in “Darkmoor” as an option for the Dark Universe Potal. This portal was the most spilt vote of them all. I’m going to add the top 2 choices from the prvious poll along with this suggestion.
How should we abbreviate Dark Universe ?
- DU
- Dark Uni
- Darkmoor
A majority was decided with Stardust Racers. However, it was pointed out that a 3-letter abbreviation wasn’t an option. Here is the previous winner and a new 3 letter abbrevation
How should we abbreviate Stardust Racers ?
- SR
- SDR
In the closest vote of them all, some asked for a recount and I added a new option…
How should we abbreviate Mine-Cart Madness?
- Mine-Cart
- MCM
- DKMC (Donkey Kong Mine-Cart)
In an effort to change people’s mind, Stardust is a single word, not two nor hyphenated. So SR makes the logical choice.
This was my logic too.
Also Darkmoor is cool but is too long for an abbreviation. Similar with Mine-Cart. And Mind Cart Madness is the official name so I don’t think we should be changing it by adding Donkey Kong in front of it as an official/ unofficial abbreviation.
I use SR frequently for Single Rider though…
With 0% of the votes neither does anyone else!!
Another point about SR…since there are two sides, we can do the TLA with it by using SRY and SRG (or perhaps SR:Y and SR:G?) or SR Yellow and SR Green similar to Mission Space orange and green.
I think context will make the difference obvious. (Although, since I pretty much never mention nor use single rider, I don’t have much skin in the game.)
Who says abbreviations have to follow words and not syllables? It’s an arbitrary linguistic construct.
Um. Me?
Complete Chaos Jeff!
MK is already the widely used abbreviation of Mario Kart even in the ride itself.
I don’t know if I would ever not think of Magic Kingdom first- even if the conversation was fully on Universal or Epic, lol.
