As @davej notes, this depends on whether you’ll be able to benefit from EE.
If yes (and you are coming in from the front of the park), I would definitely recommend getting your Tier 1 LL for Remy, and rope dropping Frozen. Rope dropping Remy is great if you’re coming in through IG, but from the front of the park it’s not worth it. For Frozen, you’ll line up in a fairly relaxed/spread out location in the middle of the park near the new Walt statue. Once the rope is released, you walk straight up to the World Showcase lagoon, and turn left towards Mexico and into Norway. As long as you walk with purpose (no need to compete with speed walkers hustling to the front), you should be able to get on to the ride with a very short wait and be off again before EE is over.
If you are planning to ride GotG using the VQ (use BG1 to get this), I would advise heading there next as it’s usually a walk on during EE or right at park open (whereas later in the day the VQ will have a 30-60 min wait for most of the rest of the day). You could then tap into anything nearby (SE or MS, for example) to unlock your LL tiers, and grab your next LL for Soarin. OR, if you want to ride Frozen twice, there might even still be LLs avilable early in the day. Soarin is usually available for several hours after park open, so you could make that your next LL selection.
If you don’t intend to ride GotG or do not want to walk back into Future World, you could also book Remy as your first LL, as early as possible in the day, and head from Frozen to France (probably via Canada and UK, to tap in by 10am latest to unlock your LL tiers and make your next booking). Then explore World Showcase in the morning while it’s nice and calm, and ride anything you want to ride in Future World in the afternoon grabbing LL with tap-and-go (most of the remaining LLs are not very competitive).
I did a slightly more ambitious version of this RD plan during a solo trip two weeks ago (read here: https://forum.touringplans.com/t/first-solo-trip-oct-2024/102100/23) I’ve also successfully rope dropped Frozen with the whole family (both with stroller and without) - while you’ll have plenty of people around you, in my experience it’s one of the less stressful rope drop destinations in WDW.
You can, but it’s not essential. You can now tell the TP tool which LLs you are planning to use when, but it’s a lot more fiddly than it was before. I still make TPs mainly cause I like looking at my plan on the little map at the bottom, and to get an approximate idea of overall timing including walking distances - but I usually deviate from my plan at some point before noon because you can’t necessarily predict the exact availability of LL after you initial selection of 3/rides may be down/etc. At Epcot, I find once you’ve knocked out/have a plan pinned down for Frozen, Remy and Soarin, you can really move at a relaxed pace. Even GotG you can easily schedule by purchasing LLSP (instead of VQ) if you prefer doing that.
If you are onsite you can book 7 days in advance - you can check the TP LL availability table (Lightning Lane at Disney World) on the morning you book to get an approximate idea of what will be available.
If you are not onsite or don’t intend to use EE, this plan would not work the same way - let us know, and have a great trip!
