EPCOT Break Ideas?

We are going to RD our first EPCOT day and my original plan was to have a resort break right after lunch at Shiki Sai (12:40 AR). I last minute added Behind the Seeds today but all they had available was 3:30. This doesn’t allow for the 3-4 hr resort break at FW that we usually do midday. We will have about 1.5-2 hours to kill after lunch. What can we do that will allow us to rest and cool off for that amount of time?
Its me, DH, DS19, and DD16.

You can spend time at the Aquarium in The Seas, or ride Living With the Land and watch the film in The Land.

There’s also the BatB Sing-Along, or watching the films in Canada or China (although you stand in those, but they are in A/C.)

Walk over to Yacht/Beach Club and hang out in the lobby. Grab a cool drink at Connections, hang out in the American Adventure theatre. I’m just trying to think of inside spaces where you can stay cool, but would also have a place to sit. I thought they opened a new Passholder/DVC indoor lounge if either of those apply.

Beach Club also has a solarium that’s nice for sitting and relaxing.

We like the BC solarium, too. Lots of space to spread out, very quiet, and a little more comfortable than the lobby.

@Chase1104 my guess is you will have just 1.5h after your meal to get a break, so you might not want to leave the park. Since you will have been in the a/c for lunch and will got back into it for your tour, it might be enough of a break to go to the garden behind the UK pavilion or even just let your teens shop and meet up with you at the Land at 3. It would be pretty easy to kill a lot of time at Mitsukoshi after lunch for all or part of your family.

We like to do a roundtrip on the Skyliner when killing time at Epcot as well.

That’s a good one! Unless the weather looks iffy, it is fun and relaxing.

Since you’re in Japan anyway, check out what’s going on in the American Adventure. Are the Voices of Liberty still there? There’s also the attraction which usually is a good nap opportunity. But then you miss Ben Franklin climbing the stairs. That always amazes me.

Also we’ve spent a lot of time doing the pick a pearl thing at Japan, in the store there. If that’s still a thing. In the air conditioning and interesting to people watch.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I truly appreciate it.
I feel like a newb every time we go, since we tend to go every other year or so. I’m excited to try the new LLMP/SP system. We loved our FP+ trips and never did try Genie since I was too mad about Genie+ to pay for it in 2022 :upside_down_face:.
We are looking forward to shorter waits and once again doing our best to live in the moment and get all the magic we can. Just over 48 hrs until we are on our way! :airplane:
