Early Entry ADR at Akershus

I have an Akershus breakfast ADR at 8:30am and from what I’m reading Disney no longer allows guests with breakfast ADRs to walk in earlier than other guests with EE (8:30am that day). Can anyone confirm this? I’ll be entering from IG by myself with dd3 and ds6, so I’m a little nervous that we won’t make it within the grace period.

We were at the front of the rope (being held in Canada) and many guests approached the CM to try to get through and she kept repeating “they know when the park opens.” So I think that you will not likely be let through but the Akershus CMs should not expect you before 8:30.

I have had a similar experience in the past at MK for a ressie at park open but for which I would be late due to walk time. It was no issue

Thats so interesting because they used to let you in early for pre open dining reservations.

In June of 2022 we were well over an hour late to Coral Reef - got off schedule waiting on Disney at our resort. Not a bus thing but something else.
The CMs were happy to honor our reservation, even as late as our arrival was. When we were slightly late the next day - our bad this time :smile: - for supper at a Disney resort restaurant the CM said as long as you show up sometime on the day of your reservation we’ll try to get you seated.

Idk how accurate that is but I feel like it’s in response to some of Disney’s IT problems.

They gave me flack at Sci-Fi when my teens showed up late. They wouldn’t seat us without them. But they did still get us in, just made us a wait a long time and gave us some words.

I don’t doubt that, as @OBNurseNH said.

We were in the World the last week of June - immensely hot. I did not expect such patience and generally good customer service as we experienced.

There was the occasional CM who seemed immune to the :sparkles: .

Our ADR was today and it actually went better than expected! Epcot EE was at 8:30am, but we were allowed into the park at 7:58. Made it to Akershus around 8:12ish and decided to see if we could sneak in a ride on FEA before checking into our ADR. We were 8th in line and on FEA a few minutes before 8:30 and checking into Akershus by 8:33. So, it all worked out really well!
