Just an FYI – I have POFQ reserved for Dec. 1-7. (So close, I’m planning to stay home Tuesday, Oct. 1st so I can be on the computer at 6:00 EST sharp! Gotta get Via Napoli!!!)
Yesterday, I received an email from Disney with a code for a discount on other resorts. It was actually kind of a pain in the rear, but I followed the directions to an offer on Animal Kingdom Lodge rooms for the very same time period. And the discounts did seem to be real, although it’s really hard to tell because I don’t know exactly what the original costs would have been without the discount.
I did the math, but it didn’t seem worth it to pay almost $1000 for a room facing the parking lot. And even though we have often rhapsodized about our 2001 stay at AKL and how much we loved sitting on our balcony and watching the giraffes, it doesn’t seem worth another $2000+ for a Savannah View room.
So I passed. Gonna stick with POFQ and my beloved spitting-frog fountain. (Unless something great comes up at Saratoga Springs, LOL!)
But… I think this means that there are discounts to be had this holiday season. I could be wrong.
