I didn’t address this in the other response: I couldn’t just provide a single median for all 2BR at all resorts, that wouldn’t be helpful at all. Like you said, Riviera has widely different prices that OKW and SSR.
Again, for others reading in the future: I’ve said this before, but always bears repeating:
NONE of this data should be taken as “WOO, this is 30% under median it is an awesome deal for sure!”
This data is a snapshot of what is available in the dedicated market over time. 20% under median in September might be just OK, while at median in a Savannah room on December 24th might be a touchdown.
Hopefully this data is depicting more detailed trends no one has published before (AFAIK) and hopefully the search engine makes it easier to find rentals that people might find interesting.
Only if they can find availability. I think that’s the crux of it. From your example, BC is highly desirable. So if all of the availability is snatched up as soon as the booking window is open, non-dedicated renters that don’t get a rental request in right at 11 months may find no availability. Some places have very good availability throughout the year. I’ve seen some resort points offered at $18pp from private renters for BW, BC and Poly. And rental companies seem to be as low as $21pp for the 7 month mark bookings, iirc.So technically it’s doable. But I bet these higher priced dedicated rentals get snatched up because there is no other DVC availability for a rental agent or private renter to grab.
Also: 6-night Kidani 1BR Villa Savannah View starting 9/24 dropped from $581 to $498/night or 24% under median. (Actually is better than 24% since: Savannah.)
Greetings from the Park Hyatt Washington DC! Tonight, while sipping out of a swanky water bottle I bring you a 3-night AK Kidani studio starting 10/2 for $167/night. That is 51% under median.
Really no new DVC rentals or price drops to get excited about for a few days, but in case this one is enticing to anyone: 1-night Vero Beach studio is now $150 TOMORROW night.
That rental is 39% under median. There’s also a VB Inn Room in Oct for $160 and a 2-night Inn room next week for $210/night (12% under.) Use my search engine to scope them out
