It is a very long shot at this point, but 5-night 12/1 Aulani 1BR Villa from a few days ago has dropped from $322/night to a shocking $230/n or 77% under median.
1-night BC 1BR Villa 12/4 orig $930 now $434 or 44% under
1-night SSR 1BR 12/8 orig $540 now $360 or 39% under
2-night SSR 1BR 12/21 orig $770/n now $$428 or 27% under
As a true distressed rental should!
Drove DD back to college today so only ran 1 data refresh today after 6pm.
Quite a few rentals changed in price today, some very nice ones.
A few interesting new ones too, here’s the best one IMHO:
3-night GF Studio 2/2 for $374/night or 28% under median
2-night Poly Studio 12/21 for $390/n or 25% under median
That is about as low as you should expect to see in December, although there has been an interesting batch of Poly studios for a little lower than that in January. (All gone immediately, except the 21-night one still out there at $339.)
SUPER VERY NICE: 2-night Poly Studio 1/5 for $349/n or 33% under median
1-night AK Kidani 1BR (Value) 1/24 for $462 or 31% under
That is a very nice price IMHO, but FWIW we did see some extreme low $200s prices for a few 1 & 2-night rentals last year at this time.
BUT: You need to be super flexible since they tend to appear less than 10 days before check in, so start stretching!
2-night GF Studio 5/11 for $391/n or 24% under

Both of these are just about as low as you might expect to see - although there were some 2BR surprises last year at the last minute.
2-night OKW 1BR 1/5 orig $460/n, now $368 or 32% under median
7-night OKW 2BR 1/22 orig $643/n now $514 or 27% under
Big 52 new rentals this morning, haven’t seen any larger numbers like this for awhile. Almost all at or above median out into next year, so pretty meh.
Only 1 really worth mentioning:
1-night BW Studio 12/23 for $280 or 30% under median.
Interestingly the same site also just listed a 4-night rental in same exact room and date for $650/night or 63% OVER median, so :shrug:

This one only about 10% under with this change, but as an Ocean view is really better than that - at least might be worth watching if not booking?

Crazy good price! But, yes, the weather isn’t ideal for sure.

2nd lowest 7-night price recorded, at the low end in any case.
2-night OKW Studio 1/6 for $180/n or 35% under median
That price is about as low as it goes, except for rando 1-nighters.

FYI all:
I’m in the process of removing all of the 2022 rental data from the search database since I’m hitting the ceiling on the free tier of my database host. I’ve got it stored locally and will likely generate some reference charts from it at some point, maybe when I actually have time to turn my search into a more better site.
I’m thinking data more than 2 years prior has limited reference value for current searches anyhoo (& I’m not even sure if anyone looks at past rentals in the data. 
)
