DVC/AP Discount when booking for a group?

I am hoping to book a Caring for Giants tour for our upcoming trip. There is an AP discount. Half of our party has APs, the other half do not. If I book the group it will apply the discount. Will they just pay the difference the day of? It says they will verify discount eligibility at check in. I just don’t want to have them not be able to take the tour if they don’t have full price reservations.

I have never done a tour with an AP discount. But typically for AP discounts, whoever pays is the one who needs the AP. So if you (or other AP holders) are planning to pay and have the non-AP holders reimburse the others, you should be fine (unless tours are treated differently from dining, merch, etc.)

I’ve booked tours with discounts for non AP holders before and had no issue. Basically once you book and pay online it’s a nonissue.

I think one person with AP can book a certain number of people with AP discount (4 maybe?). If half your group has APs it should be fine. If they even ask about it onsite which I doubt they will.

I too have booked the tours with mix of AP and non-AP and got the AP discount for everyone.
