Does MK Reach Capacity for Park Hoppers?

I’m planning on park hopping into MK on a Crowd Level 7 day (Dec 13, as it’s open until 10 pm). Should I be worried about the park reaching capacity and being unable to park hop to MK? Is there any way for me to check this before finding out at the MK gate? I’m not sure of my exact arrival time, as it will depend on my Whispering Canyon reservation time, duration, and boat ride.

FYI, here’s my plan for the day:

  1. HS rope drop
  2. Bus to Wilderness Lodge for lunch @ Whispering Canyon
  3. Boat to Magic Kingdom
  4. Stay at MK to park close

No. Very rarely does it reach capacity and it on level 10++ days.

I think MDE may tell you if MK is closed but I have no direct knowledge of this. Like I said, it rarely closes.

It’s theoretically possible, but extremely, extremely unlikely to happen on December 13. If it were me, I wouldn’t worry about it. I’m not sure where you can look it up.

I do know there was a phone number you could call to check capacity for park hopping. It was active during the times when park hopping first returned after the covid closures. No idea if the number is still active

In the last handful of years, it has happened at MK on New Year’s Eve, and on the day of WDW’s 50th Anniversary (Oct 1, 2021). I wouldn’t worry at all about an ordinary day like Dec. 13.

Based on the other responses, when they re-opened post-pandemic, some poor soul probably was given 2 hours to develop a solution. And once it settled down and it only happens twice a year, it can’t be high on the software priority list.
