Do you need your Magic Band for Magical Express, Etc

My sis and I are headed to WDW soon, she from DC and me from AZ. I have the Magic Bands. Do I need to mail hers to her for the Magical Express and hotel check in? Thanks in advance for the help!

As long as she has the confirmation numbers she’s fine as far as I know. We travel from Canada so we don’t get our bands until we’ re at the hotel. At MDE check in they asked for our name and reservation number.

If you have the band they scan your band twice: first to tell you what line, the 2nd time as they send you to the bus. If you do not have a band they send you to the desk to the right of the scanners to give you documents.
