DL and CA in one day. Any thoughts or touring plans out there?

You guys are amazing. One last question. Sneaky good spot to watch Pixar fireworks and see everything but don’t have to be staking out a spot 45 minutes early? Thank you!!! So excited for tomorrow.

If you are a Star Wars fan at all, I’d watch them from Galaxy’s Edge (fire of the rising moon) since it will be May the 4th. Have fun and may the force be with you!

There will be no spot that you can see everything so you have to prioritize a little bit on what view you want. If you are a Star Wars fan, the Galaxy’s Edge suggestion is a great one. The music they will play in Star Wars land was designed around the same fireworks bursts that the Pixar Together show uses, so it should be a great show there too. And fireworks without the music in Galaxy’s Edge have always been beautiful!

If you want to see fantastic projections and big bursts (but will not see characters flying over or remotely anything on the castle nor the smaller fireworks set off on/next to the castle), watch in front of it’s a small world. The projections are the crispest on small world & always amazing and the big bursts go off right behind it. You can show up 15-20 minutes early and there’s a platform you can watch from across from the ride or any of the wide open space in front of the ride. It usually doesn’t get crazy crowded, even during the show.

If you want to be able to see the characters fly really well & a decent view of the castle but are ok with not seeing the bursts really at all (because they will be blocked by large trees) the part of the hub in front of Adventureland. This one may get full if there’s a lot of people who don’t really know that the tree will really all but completely block your view of the bursts, but usually most people know & it tends to be an empty open pocket in the hub.

If you are ok with not really seeing much of the castle & having the characters who fly over be far off in the distance with a great view of Main Street projections & big bursts, then the back section of Main Street (in front of the Emporium/Main St theater) is a fine place & the back takes the longest to fill up. It depends on how popular the show is to watch from Main Street if the back of it will be full as early at 15 minutes before but most days it’s it’s fine to show up later.

If the Fantasmic water screens are being put to use, the best spot would be along the Rivers of America where you would normally watch Fantasmic, but when we went for spring break, even though they listed the Rivers of America as a fireworks viewing location (and we’ve watched from there many times when we didn’t feel like fighting crowds), they didn’t have the screens running for the projections, which I would’ve been ok with since Fantasmic has been down to fix the damage from the fire last year. BUT they also didn’t pipe in the music either. So I wouldn’t consider that a viewing location at all. When they do pipe in the music & add the projectionson the screens it’s a great option to see the bursts with much less craze and crowds than Main Steet/hub, especially when Fantasmic isn’t running that night. You can’t ever see the characters flying over either.

Then the last possible place you maybe have is on the train station platform. CMs may shoo you away though as they don’t typically love a crowd standing around there. But sometimes they do let small groups be, especially if the show has already gotten underway and there aren’t a bunch of other people looking for a spot to watch who would follow your lead to go up there & see. The castle will be small, but possibly unobstructed and the bursts will all be visible too, but since it’s small without a great angle on Main St buildings, your view of projections will be limited, and the fly over characters will be small.
