I don’t think they’ve done a 180. There is the aspect of Disney that wants to open a park in Abu Dhabi, and there is the aspect of Disney that wants to virtue signal. Both of those things are about money and promoting Disney. Which is fine, they are a company. Neither aspect is about a noble goal or admirable. Just a normal corporation doing as corporations do.
Just like this - both takes seem important to growth
Oh, I think what you’re implying is that, aside from restrictions around reproductive rights, there aren’t as many overt limitations in the US.
You’re not suggesting that we’ve achieved complete equality and freedom as a society, but rather that we’ve made significant progress in many areas.

But if court rulings truly meant that problems were solved, we wouldn’t still see murder, corruption, or other crimes.
The court precedents have shown that unequal pay is to be considered illegal. Companies (like Disney) are still going to try to get away with it, though, much like the criminals that you listed in your post.
Along with medical procedures, there are also certain medical treatments, like Testosterone that men can get without issue and women are not able to get.
I was thinking about this today and wondering if a park is still in the works…?
Likely too early to tell.
I hadn’t heard any updates on this since it was announced last year, so I’m curious if they had started the project at all yet.
The current discussion is if the situation in Iran will cause problems for the project. That’s the “too early to tell.”
I did a little digging and read that Bob Iger was just there in January for planning purposes and photographs of the site. I hadn’t thought about this planned project since it was announced last May, and with the events of the past few days I was just wondering where things were in the planning phase of it. Yes, time will tell if those plans move forward.
Maybe a better indicator of how voltile the world is as opposed to the doomsday media
kind of like how Waffle House is a better predictor of weather than Jim Cantore?
Yes!
I have no doubt it’s moving forward.
