Disney World With A Toddler

If I log into my sister’s MDE, will I be able to try for a BG for Guardians from my house?

BTW, this was her birthday party last week.

Adorable!

Yes, MDE is not geofenced for BGs or LLs. The only thing you couldn’t do is join a walk-up list at a restaurant.

I find it interesting that TSM has no height restriction, but Tomorrowland Speedway does…. :woman_shrugging:

My guess is the Speedway height restriction is a way to screen out kids who might not fit in the seatbelt due to the way the restraints are designed. The secondary height requirement is for being able to reach the pedals and work the vehicle without assistance.

Great list! There are a few things to update:

MK: Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade was closed permanently on June 23, 2024
MK: Country Bear Musical Jamboree is the new name. (I’ll be guilty of saying the old name)
EP: O Canada! is the same thing (but old name) for the show you list, Canada Far and Wide.
EP Awesome Planet could move to your list of shows.
AK Animal Encounters: Winged Encounters - The Kingdom Takes Flight is another bird show

Thanks!! I had noticed most, but not all of the things you pointed out.

Based on the above, there are more activities at AK, Epcot and MK, and we should try to get there early…
We can definitely do DHS in half day or less.

LLMP only for MK. Maybe Epcot, but definitely not for DHS or AK.

Wait times for June 2024

If it’s as hot as June has been being I highly suggest exiting the park once the temp gets above 90. About 11 am. Head back to a park when the temperature begins falling.

Do you have an idea where you’ll want to be staying ?

We have rooms booked at AKL, but we will only keep them if offers are announced in January.

I have done that before with satisfactory results. However, more recently, I’ve noticed it isn’t the best for me during very hot weather (i.e., summer).

Walking to and from the car means spending a significant amount of time in the scorching heat.

I might try the following:
Arrive at the park before the worst of the heat (around 9-10 am), spend the hottest hours mostly indoors doing meals or shows, and reemerge when it cools down (after 2-3 pm).

I figured that was the plan.

I wondered if you planned on having a toddler in tow

Yes, two toddlers. I’m not necessarily expecting us to spend a lot of hours in the parks…
Maybe they’ll take a nap while we’re there, or maybe they’ll throw a tantrum and we’ll have to head out….Who knows!

The toddlers we brought - 3 over the years - were very good about napping in their strollers at the most inopportune time. They never seemed to be awake at meals.

We had one do an epic meltdown.

Generally keep an eye out for the nearest splash area. And make sure you’ve got plenty of fluids and fuel.
There was a fellow on here awhile back that swore on ice cream. As many times a day as necessary.

Works for me.

And give the kids some ice cream too.
