Thing to know about driving early is that the MK monorail is often (usually?) not running so you have no option but to use the boats. The boats are lovely, but slow and go less often. So build that in to your planning if you drive and park very early. I’ve almost missed early ADRs and the VIP thrills tour because I forget this quirk.
After reading this thread I checked the times guide. For this week the monorail opened at 7?

Oh, that sucks. The ferry is so slow. Guess I have never arrived early enough for the monorail not to be running.
