It’s weird how much I care about something that will never be a problem for me :winking_face_with_tongue:
The only resort hopping I have ever done was when I was a resort guest. With that said, this past offsite trip I considered getting breakfast at Sanaa which is QS. I was thinking about how to go about it. I figured I’d just park at AK and bus over. Now I know it’s not an option. They don’t want non-resort guests.

Parking at AK is an option. They’re only restricting the buses that originate at Disney Springs.

It depends where you look:

Disney Springs

Bus service from Disney Springs to Disney Resort hotels is available for Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel or visiting one with a valid dining or experience reservation. Guests may be asked to show a valid Resort hotel room key, dining reservation or experience reservation.

Guests with a valid dining or experience reservation may board the appropriate Disney Resort hotel bus from Disney Springs up to 2 hours before their reservation time.

Bus service between Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs is available during Disney Springs operating hours—and ends one hour after closing.

Paying for parking at a park is always an option. Currently anyone can take a bus to/from resorts and parks.

I’m sure I read that there is wording that specifically says that if you have parked at a park, you can ride the buses to DS and back again. I imagine you have to show proof of paying to park.

But if you’d got a rideshare to a park and headed off to FS for lunch, then I guess the CMs at Disney Springs are going to direct you to the rideshare pick-up zone for a ride back.

But putting a warning on MDE should alert most people with park tickets. Not sure the best way to make AP holders know.

But certainly bus drivers could also warn people as they get on a bus to DS.

I’ve used throw away ADRs too, but I’ve never parked at DS and then gone into the parks.

but why…. APs have FREE parking at all parks…. when we still lived there it was too easy to park for free and make my way to my destination and know my car was tucked in safely until I returned. I hated parking at DS b/c it was always too hard to find a spot.

Yeah - it really doesn’t make sense to me. The amount of time lost in the transit really negates any money savings it represents.

I retract what I said. After reading and hearing what Len is saying, it sounds like the resort amenities are being abused by folks who have no park tickets or intention of visiting a park.

Is it this thread or another that found about 25% of ppl have been turned away at DS resort bus stop since they instituted the new rules? That number is a lot.
