For DAH for HS and Epcot, are all (or most) of the attractions open?

When I was there in 2024, all rides were open but not shows for HS.

Thank you!

I would say this is most likely going to be the case…and also worth mentioning VERY limited food availability, if any.

I just looked. I summed up my HS After Hours thoughts here:

If you don’t do meet & greets, you will have more time than I did for rides.

I said in my summary that I would absolutely do HS After Hours again, if I came during a hot & humid time of year. Well, we will be in WDW in about 3 weeks, during a hot & humid time of year AND we have HS After Hour tickets!

I start writing about After Hours here: https://forum.touringplans.com/t/really-says-my-kids/100125/163?u=stlouie.

We have plans for HS After Hours for the 10th, I hope to keep it a surprise. It will be our first After Hours, so I hope the rest of the fam thinks it’s worth it.

Mammoth Club just did a review of the three AH offerings at WDW, it definitely made me want to book one at HS!

The very random meet and greets at HS after hours are a lot of fun!

Is everything in World Showcase open? The biggest bummer of EEH at Epcot is that World Showcase basically shuts down almost completely……I would not pay (just me personally i mean) for DAH in Epcot if World Showcase was closed like it is for EEH…….

And as a side note, I think Epcot and World Showcase should be open until 11pm every night……Epcot is the best park at night and closing at 9pm is a huge bummer

I did a HS after hours last summer. It was fun, and we enjoyed the lower crowds. I’m not sure whether I personally would do it again. IMHO the shows are such an important part of what I love about HS, and there is very little of that on offer at After Hours (which is mentioned above). Another thing to keep in mind is weather. In the summer, the storms often roll in during the evening, and that can impact some rides. That was also the case on the night I went, so SDD, for example, was down part of the night, and then it was hard to ride w/o a wait once it did open. I also love the idea of free snacks at these events. I don’t know why I feel seduced by that when I find I can usually only get one or two! Just my two cents. . .

But unlimited included fruit bars, Mickey ice cream bars, Mickey ice cream sandwiches, popcorn, and bottled drinks! :face_savoring_food:

How exciting!

It is pricey for 3 hours but I found HS After Hours in June to be much nicer without the crowds and without the sun trying to kill me! Hopefully it won’t rain during our After Hours! :crossed_fingers: :folded_hands: Even if it does, only SDD is outdoors.

I agree! We are doing 1/2 day at HS in June for the shows, eats, and shopping; and After Hours for the rides.

FREE appeals to us when these bars and sandwiches cost $6+ each! They are INCLUDED with the After Hours ticket but in my opinion, they are not worth standing in a 5-minute line to pick up nor sitting down for 10 minutes to enjoy. That cuts into event time. Though some may argue that 30 minutes with characters can also be considered a waste of time at After Hours! And the more you eat and drink, the more time you may need to spend in the restroom! Like any day at WDW, one needs to prioritize!

My daughter and her friend have a short trip coming up in June. They will be in HS on 6/10 (afternoon and evening), Epcot on 6/11, AK on 6/12, and MK on 6/13. DAH is at HS on 6/10 and Epcot on 6/11. I have been watching LLMP pre-select return times for Days 7 and 7+1, and it doesn’t look good. I am trying to talk them into DAH, but they are resistant. Not sure they will have any luck with LLMP. (I am more worried about this than they are…) Does anyone expect that RnRR will still be VQ at that time?

In the 80s and 90s it was typically open later than 9:00 pm, but I doubt we are going to see those days again thanks to the bean counters at WDW.

We’re doing the HS After Hours in August because of the heat. It’ll be our only park day this trip. I’m looking forward to it, I haven’t done an evening hours event since MK in 2001 when my brother and I lapped Spash Mountain three times in a row at 12:30 am because nobody was in line.

That’s definitely the best. We just went to After Hours at Magic Kingdom–we will always remember walking the queue to Big Thunder, getting on the ride, exiting, and walking right back on
