Discounts for October?

Hello Everyone - I am turning 40 in October! I want to take my 2 older kids (6 and 9) to Disneyland (for cost savings of plane trip and tix my hubby will stay home with the 2 year old).

When is the best time to purchase tix? Are their any sort of discounts I should be looking out for? I saw that Disneyland closes at 6pm unless you get the Halloween Party which is annoying.

Is there anything else I should know? I have researched WDW and no it like the back of my hand but I haven’t done Disneyland since I was probably 10 years old.

I am giddy.

Great place to celebrate! Others have used aRestravel or getawaytoday. If you pre-purchase 3 or more day tickets, you get one Magic Morning(early entry) to Disneyland(none for DCA)
