Dinner in MK on MNSSHP night

We will not have party tickets. Am I able to book a 6:55pm reservation at skippers? MDE allows it but not sure if we would have problem?

Could then enjoy tiny bit of atmosphere on walk out of park…

Skippers is not a party ADR so you should be fine. You may be escorted out of the park after your dinner.

Many years ago I had a CRT dinner that ended after the start of MNSSHP. We were kindly, but firmly and quickly escorted out of the park after dinner.

One other question - if we have a 6:55 reservation, will we be able to do anything from 6-6:55 if “park close” is 6pm?

Thanks.

You should be at the restaurant, waiting, at 6pm. The CMs are rather aggressive forcing all guests without party credentials out of the park.

Would you recommend an earlier time then?

Just thought we may catch some ambience on way out…

Any chance of seeing some of the parade?

Others might have different opinions but I would try for an earlier time. After 6pm CMs will line up and block pathways to non- party guest. I don’t think it is a positive experience for non- party guests.

I love this statement. It really is accurate. At MK one night leading up to the early close on a MVMCP night the shut-down was inching up and the atmosphere really changed enough that even my 9 yo sensed it. I explained why and reminded her we’d be back for the party in a few nights. So yes - we could see some of the lights and projections ramping up, but the mood was shifting to where we knew it was Time To Go.

If you want to experience the party and parade, you should get tickets to the party. It’s really worth the money. You won’t be able to do anything party goers are allowed to do after 6:00 until the time of your ADR. CM will be actively trying to get you out of the park.

If it were me, I would try to get an earlier time.

I agree with this reply. The ambiance for non-party guests is being constantly approached by CMs and directed toward the exit.

With the earlier parade this year, it may be going on while you are leaving dinner, but the CMs will be doing all they can to ensure non-guests are not experiencing the parade.

This. Without tickets, WDW will try to make you feel like unwanted house guests who need to leave immediately after dinner … and from my experience, WDW is very good at this.
