DCL discount offer for Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort Guests

Cross posting this!

There is also a reverse offer for DCL guests, offering discount at WDW Deluxe Resorts when you have sailed DCL

What is going on? I got this one yesterday on my nonMDE email account.

Bookings are clearly down

Or…possibly the number of total bookings is remaining roughly the same, or even slightly up, but now they are spreading those bookings across more ships, which ends up being a financial loss because they are earning less overall!!!

In any case a win for those looking to book DCL.

Our next cruise is RCCL, and the one we are tentatively planning after that, we are looking at Princess. Our DCL cruise was kinda one and done for us.

@OBNurseNH Do you happen to know if this applies to DVC guests staying on points?

I think 25-30% off could have me look at DCL again. It might push the price point closer to Royal.

This is a good observation

It says Deluxe and Delixs Villas. There was discussion of it on a FB page yesterday. I don’t think they are restricted

@ryan1

Wah wahhhhhhhhhh

“Disney Vacation Club points cannot be used to book sailing”

Just had a chance to re-read the fine print. No to DVC

Weird though - this offer reas “Cruise must sail within 24 months after the Guest’s check out date from their stay at Select Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort hotels at Walt Disney World Resort.”

However, the furthest out voyage dates currently showing in the drop down is late February 2027, which is barely 1 year from now. And since you have to book within 7 days of checkout, past stays don’t count.

So this begs the question: will they release additional sailing dates?

Although an astute reader in this discussion happening on the WDW section of the board notices that the bullet point reads you can’t use DVC points to book the sailing

I read it as stays (using DVC points). But I guess it does say you can’t book the voyage with points.

Hmmm…

I wonder if someone who is going on points soon would see if the offer pops into their booking offers??

Maybe in case the dates need to be changed later in case of some mishap or something?

I definitely read this as you cannot book the cruise with points (probably because how do they discount the points) but it would seem to this layperson that you would be eligible by staying at WDW on points.

I’ll happily take a look in a few weeks!

I also read it as no booking the cruise with points. I’m here at WDW on points right now and was actually planning to book a cruise when I get back. Seriously. Will test for science. So glad I saw this. Thank you!

Where do I find this offer directly? I can’t see which are the select sailings.

I am wondering if it will drop into your available offers after you check out. I couldn’t find it on the site either.

The sailings are numerous. I can screen shot in the morning

I’m trying to understand, but it’s only my second cup of coffee.

You can’t use points to book the sailing, but if you used points for the resort stay, can you book a cruise within seven days?

Is this what you will be testing @amywilkh ?

Thanks for posting @OBNurseNH Ten percent is not nothing!

This is cool. I am going to go look through my junk emails.

I don’t have a DCL cruise in mind. But I could be persuaded.

Yes we think DVC stays on points count but Amy will let us know

It’s up to 25%. Did I make a typo?

You did not.
I have no idea where I got the 10% from.
25% is huge! Like. Now I will actually be looking at cruises.

And I did get the email @PrincipalTinker
