It’s becoming increasingly obvious I’m not going to be able to coordinate a family trip before DINOSAUR closes next year
So I decided to visit Animal Kingdom next Thursday (11/6) just for the day. I would’ve preferred a two-night trip and gone on Friday instead, but hotels were too expensive less than a month out
If anyone else is gonna be there, let me know. I’d love to have some company who appreciates what the park is losing (and can intelligently discuss the future)

Sorry. Perhaps it is because I’m older than you. But Phylicia Rashad, who played Claire Huxtable on The Cosby Show in the 80s is also the actress who is kind of in charge of the dino institute on Dinosaur the ride. (She plays “Dr. Helen Marsh”)
And I always thought it was so odd to have someone so iconic as Mrs. Huxtable play such a character for a ride, because there was no way I could take the ride seriously and NOT think Mrs. Huxtable was talking to us rather than Dr. Helen Marsh.
(And now that I had to explain all that…the joke is no longer funny. )
