Taking a quick trip (1 day hoppers on Convention Tix) staying at AoA.
Does anyone know (since you have to make park reservations with those tickets) , can i make a reservation and prebook LLMP for HS , then day of, change the reservation to Epcot (for attempted VQ for GoTG) ?
Would this work? Would I lose the pre booked LLMP and / or not be able to potentially acquire VQ ?

I do not believe that LLMP knows where your reservation is at. So I do not think that you would need to change the reservation.

You don’t have to have a reservation for the park you purchase LLMP for. If you want to try for the VQ at Epcot, just make your park reservation for Epcot.

Even with convention tickets? I didn’t think this would work.
ETA: Maybe it just has to see a park reservation for that particular day?

You have to have valid admission to book LLMP. So if a convention ticket requires a park reservation to be considered “valid admission” for that specific day (which I don’t know, but sounds like it?) then yes, you have to have a park reservation.
But as with APs, you do not have to buy LLMP for the park that you have an APR for. You can buy for any park you have valid admission for, including a park you are eligible to hop to.
(Now if you have single-park tickets that require an APR … that’s sort of a rare circumstance and I’m not sure how it would be handled.)
Side note:
When I saw the thread title, I thought this question was going to be about # of days. Since convention tickets are not date based (and making an APR does not make it date-based), it only gets 3+ day booking privileges. But since the OP is staying at AoA, they get 7 days + length of stay, regardless of ticket type.
Second side note:
If you want to play the “Hokey Pokey” for another reason (i.e., you want to start your day at MK but want a 7am VQ for Guardians at EP), as far as I know it does still work.

If I have a park hopper convention ticket I thought I could start in park A and have a park reservation for park A but then only book LLMP in park B that I’m hopping to.

I think you can, as long as you have a reservation for a park that day and it’s a Park Hoppers (meaning you have valid entry to any of the 4 parks).
For thr VQ you will need a reservation at that particular park.
