After much scanning of the Disney website, it appears you can’t request a video chat to pre-register for DAS unless you’re in the US.
This might be a silly question, but I wondered if anyone had tried to register via the US website (and a VPN)? I’m assuming the cast member wouldn’t allow the discussion to progress but curious about whether the US restriction is a “hard rule” or just there to limit pre-registration demand.
I’m not one for trying to circumvent a legitimate rule, just generally prefer to have everything arranged and confirmed before the holiday starts!
Thanks for any help
I have used a VPN in the past to do stuff you can’t usually do from the UK, but I’ve been trying to use it to order a discounted MB and it keeps giving me an error message saying I don’t have permission to look at the page. I don’t know if they’ve changed something or if I’m just being unlucky.
So it’s definitely worth a try, but may not work out.
I did something similar for MBs but the list of non-MB+ options wasn’t very inspiring so I left it.
Just conscious this particular route will end up with a video chat with a cast Member so keen to avoid an awkward “you’re not American, how did you get on here?” Conversation
I know British people have done it in the past, I doubt they would even ask.

So we did it, and the CM basically said “we’re not really supposed to do it if you’re in the UK, but seeing as you’re here….”

Did ours this morning. CM didn’t bat an eyelid.
A question - does anyone know if there’s a grace period beyond the 1hr booked slot for pre-planned DAS? Genie+ has its 119min automatic grace period, but DAS access to the LL is always checked by a CM so I assume it will always be at CM discretion - has anyone done this?
