You finally wore her out!

Day 8 - Epcot
After the fireworks last night we were going to have a quiet morning. Neve slept until half 8. That was about 11 hours straight. She’s slept so well here which is amazing cause 1. She’s a terrible sleeper at home and 2. She’s sharing a bed with one of us and she never sleeps in our bed at home, she always wants her own bed
Anyway, I got her allergy mickey waffles and sausages for breakfast (in the room) and we headed to Epcot. Bus from Aruba was about 20 min wait. Before we left I happened to check Facebook and saw that Tim Tracker had been at the media event for the Skyliner which was at CBR. I was very tempted to go find him but thought he was prob away on the Skyliner so didn’t. Himself thought I was joking, I wasn’t. Big fan. Therefore imagine how annoyed I was to find out he was indeed walking around CBR and we had left!
Neve loves getting a memory maker photo done so did one of them then picked up a beef Thai curry from Thailand booth, was very nice. Then on to Anna and Elsa meet and greet. Now Neve has pretty much refused to go near anyone this trip but Frozen is a big favourite. It went amazingly well. Neve was in her Elsa dress and they were brilliant, spent loads of time and we have a super cute video of it all. After this was the frozen ride and then some shopping in the gift shop
Neve was still pretty tired as she watched iPad in the pram while we had a wander round showcase. Each pavilion we got some food from the booth, went through the shops for air con (Epcot is always roasting hot!) and actually managed a lovely hour and half of peace! Had about 6 different things but I’m rubbish and didn’t take any photos of any of them.
Stopped in France and got Neve a sorbet and us an ice cream. From here we were going to get a bus back and go to the pool. However we saw Cinderella and Neve wanted to meet her. It seems that she is over her character fear and loves a princess after all! Then we found Mary Poppins and she insisted she was meeting her by herself. She wanted Aurora but she was on a break so did the character spot - Mickey, Goofy and Minnie. Refused to go near goofy but did sort of meet mickey and Minnie. Finally made it for a bus and back to room for a rest. All of a sudden it was nearly 6 and Neve was starving. Allergy burger and fries and quick serve food for us (pizza and a sandwich).
I sorted out getting a replacement for the frozen toy we had bought they had broke and then pool and it’s now bedtime for us all. Not sure what we will do tomorrow. Maybe typhoon lagoon. A week done and think we have done all of our must do’s!
M
Your trip is sounding so fun. It sounds like Neve likes the human characters more than the fur ones.
I’ve never seen Cindy meet in Epcot! Sounds like you are having a great trip.
Yup!! At long last!
Seems to be. Going to do princes hall tomorrow

Day 9 - Typhoon Lagoon
After over a week of pretty much non stop park fun it is starting to catch up with us. Neve slept until 8:30 (never happens at home!) and we got moving for breakfast at Old Port Royal. Allergy waffles (or pancakes as Neve called them) and sausages whilst I had pancakes and himself had eggs and avocado on toast. Bus to typhoon for opening. Spent a lovely 3 hours or so in the kids splash area and in the massive waves in the pool. Neve also decided to film herself doing the slides and waves. Future vlogger?? Got some funnel cake finally, love this!
Left about 1 and got a bus straight away. Back to the room and had decided on going into Hollywood to see Fantasmic but Neve was really tired (read this to be wild and I blamed being tired as the excuse) so back to main lobby to get food for everyone. Chef kindly made her sausages (these are only on the breakfast menu) and fries. We will most definitely use all of our credits and dining plan has saved us a load of money. We bought it for just under £1000 for 2 adults for the 2 weeks. Because we order Neve’s separate and don’t tend to share too much with her (because her food is pretty naff to be honest, allergies suck) we make the most of the credits. I also make sure I order a bud light with every QS (apart from in magic) and store them in fridge. I’ve calculated we are up big time. Also food and wine festival means you get through the snack credits quick!
Early night for us all and going to force ourselves out early to be in MK for EEMH. Going to see the princesses at princes hall seeing as Neve is now into the ‘people’ characters and also have breakfast at BOG
I have no photos from today as we only took the go pro out! So I’ll post a pic of our dining credits left and we still have 5 full days to go (we are heading to Universal first thing next Friday)
#allergytoddler
Day 10 - Magic Kingdom, Skyliner and Epcot
The plan was to be at MK for EEMH and I set an alarm. However Neve had me awake a fair bit last night (she was dreaming and kept shouting in her sleep ) so we all slept through it. However we got going fairly quickly and managed to run and jump on a bus. Into magic for just before 8 and the lines for bag check were the longest we have seen.
Neve got into her Cinderella dress and a quick shot on the horses before we did Princess hall (both sides, had a quick costume change too). They were all lovely and Neve is well into the characters now, insisting she’s going herself!
BOG for breakfast- def pre order your food as you get to go straight in. Big queues of people waiting to order. Also don’t forget if you are on dining plan that you can have a cocktail (booze before 9am, well it’s a holiday after all). Lovely food and a great use of QS credit. Neve even got cake
After that Neve did speedway while we did a rider swap on 7DMT. That reads like she did it on her own, she didn’t! Had a pit stop in Cosmic Ray’s and then did a M&G with Alice and Merida. Dance party next which Neve loves. Followed that down Main Street and had a M&G with Snow White.
Jumped on the monorail to Grand Floridian. Neve was admiring BBB. Thank goodness she’s too young for it!! Had a wander round and had lunch in their QS. The food is def better here which you’d expect from a deluxe. The big difference to CBR where we are staying is that they have loads of amazing cakes and you can swap your drink for a cake. We had this when we stayed at SSR last year and I have def missed this
Back to MK for the parade. We were a little early so went to meet Tink who had a 15 min wait. Just as we were walking in it changed to 60 so jumped across to meet Mickey and Minnie. Neve had a dance with Minnie
Watched the parade from just below the rail station at bottom of Main Street. Loved it, got lots of waves but Neve is still scared of the dragon.
Left and managed to jump on a bus after a quick run (been super lucky with the busses today). Neve promptly fell asleep. Those of you who have been following the blogs will know how amazed I was about this!! Still asleep by time we got back to room and let her sleep until about 4:45 when we decided she had to wake up and get some food. Got her allergy fries and sausages again and then we got the Skyliner to Epcot! Super exciting. We walked up and got it at the Riveria Resort, it’s about a 5 min walk from our room. It was a little stop start but miles quicker than getting the bus. Had a wander round Boardwalk, had hoped to get a walk in at Flying Fish but no space until 8:30.
So off to Epcot which was really busy. Stopped in UK to listen to the band playing and battled round to meet Anna and Elsa. Never had decided to give them each a sticker. Anna gave the sticker back to Neve, Elsa kept hers. You guessed it, Neve then wanted it back. Managed to distract her with a bit of shopping afterwards!
Picked up some food from Hawaii stall and another one who’s name I’ve forgotten. Never made a wee pal and they ran around for a while. Come 8:30 it was really busy and we decided to bail and got the Skyliner back. Didn’t stop at all and we were back in our room before 9.
Only 4 full days left now, plan is Hollywood tomorrow morning. Not sure how early we will get there though!

I’m so vicariously excited about the Skyliner. I loved seeing it overhead at CBR and my 7 year old had so many questions whenever they were moving about why they weren’t letting people on yet. He totally wanted to be a test person for them.
They are great. Used them instead of busses today. So much quicker!
#allergytoddler
Day 11 - Hollywood studios
Set an alarm for 8am and went off to get her some breakfast (allergy waffles and sausages, Neve eats the same things all the time!). She also was given some stickers one of which was a Cinderella (to replace the one she gave Elsa yesterday which caused great upset when she kept it)
Jumped on the Skyliner at Riveria, changed at the main station at CBR and carried on to Hollywood. Love the Skyliner. It’s so much quicker and easier than the busses.
Bag check was very busy but moving not bad. Had a wander round the Star Wars stuff in the shops and went to Star Wars land to walk around. Haven’t had much of a chance to just look around, it’s all been a bit rushed. Some really cool (but very pricey) stuff to buy, got some photos done and saw loads of characters walking around - Chewie, Finn, storm troopers and kylo ren.
Moved into toy story land and we both did SDD. Neve is almost tall enough for this but I’m not sure I’d put her on it. It’s more full on than 7DMT I think. We also met Jessie. The other toy story characters had really big lines.
Round to animation courtyard and met Doc McStuffins. Neve is really into the characters! Disney junior dance party which was fab but quite loud. Neve finds a lot of things too loud here (it’s not an issue we’ve had before) and she often wears her headphones or ear defenders (I had brought them for fireworks). However I forgot to take them in to this one, oops. Met fancy Nancy after the dance party and then backlot express for lunch. No prizes for guessing what Neve ate.
Vampariane (not quite sure how you spell it) after lunch and then Beauty and the Beast show. I did remember the headphone for this one. Really loved this one. Back up to Star Wars show at the Chinese theatre. Neve didn’t like it at all so left himself there and we met Pluto. Jumped into the Ariel show and then back via the Skyliner. It took 15 mins from leaving park to getting into room!
Washing on and tried to do an instacart order but it was an epic fail. Firstly it took an age to do the order, then it wouldn’t give me free delivery and then it updated to say it would be late with the delivery. Gave up and cancelled it, it didn’t give me a full refund so I’ve messaged them
By this point Neve was wild. And that meant we were all frazzled. She didn’t have any downtime like we usually have, himself wanted to go out for a nice dinner but there was no way that was going to happen. She was loosing it over small things and that’s not like her. I hope I don’t ever bump into our neighbours as I would be so embarrassed. Rest of the evening was dinner at CBR (us adults are fed up of the quick serve food but there was simply no other option) and then back to room to try and get her to wind down. That had also been a fail. Lost the plot over having a shower (she has one every day at home without fuss) and it’s nearly 9 and she’s still going strong. Clearly it’s all getting to her and she is over stimulated or maybe just plain wild???
Tomorrow was going to be typhoon lagoon but we’ve been twice already so long lie and hotel pool then see where we are at. Have SDD and Fantasmic fast passes for tomorrow evening.
Oh and if anyone has any allergy recommendations for universal please share them! Or universal tips for toddlers- we are off there on Friday for the weekend and I’ve not really done any research at all!! We have express passes as staying at royal Pacific…
#allergytoddler
Day 12 - Epcot and Hollywood Studios
So the plan for a lazy morning and staying at resort didn’t last too long. By back of 9 we were getting ready to head out. Skyliner across to Epcot. Now when you get on this at the Riveria you can see how close the world Showcase really is, is seems crazy the route they take to get round to the International Gateway when it’s literally across the road but I’m sure they had their reasons.
First up was spaceship earth as we never did that the last time. Uses up a lot of time - queue, ride and then the interactive bits after that. grabbed a pineapple and coconut smoothie from electric umbrella and for the first time didn’t have a good allergy experience. The cashier didn’t know about allergies in it so asked someone to come out. A pretty grumpy manager turned up and said she thought it was ok. I asked for the book as I needed to know for sure and she was giving some real attitude. It was fine but not the experience I’m used to. I should have taken her name and given feedback really cause it’s not the Disney way.
Anyway, loaded up a rider switch for mission space and himself took her to the character spot. The queues at the ride and the spot were both long and slow moving. The characters went on a break so they aborted that and headed off to Morocco to see Jasmine instead.
Started to rain while I was on the ride. It’s the first rain we have seen all holiday, amazing really. Eased off pretty quick and I hot footed it up in time for Neve meeting Jasmine. Off to ESPN for lunch - we fancied some ‘nicer’ food and heard it was good on the allergy front. Really enjoyed some fancy mac n cheese and Neve enjoyed hers. And a proper full glass of wine
Back into Epcot and Mickey and Minnie were at the IG entrance, of course we needed to stop and get photos and autographs (it’s about the 5th time she’s met then now) and then the UK for Pooh and Mary Poppins. Neve loves an umbrella (she has several at home, we are Scottish, it rains a lot) so loves Polly. Polly was apparently telling her some secrets. Final stop was Aurora. Now, I’m laughing typing this up but it wasn’t funny at the time. Aurora wasn’t out yet so I stayed in queue and himself and Neve went to get sorbet and ice cream. Aurora appears so I put Neve’s cup of sorbet into the pram and himself is pushing it whilst eating his one. Then the boldest squirrel you’ve ever met tries to clamber in to get it. Wouldn’t take no for an answer and literally ran after us while we try to escape from it. I kid you not it chased us all the way to the bridge!!! So beware!! I’ve just looked at the photo pass photos and it’s in the pictures!!!
Back to Skyliner and back in our room 15 mins later. I love it. But the slow down into the stations is rather dramatic!! Bit of downtime then pick up dinner from CBR to have in room and head out (via Skyliner) to Hollywood. Did a quick meet with Olaf (she refused to see him last time) whilst himself went and did single rider on MFSR. Quick match down for Fantasmic. Now this is where I’m confused. I had a fast pass and it said 19:20-19:35. But when we go in the place is mobbed. We got a decent enough seat but don’t get what the point of the fast pass was as there is no fast pass seating???
Anyway, not a great show for an easily scared 2 year old. Oops. Research fail on that one!! Decided the queues would probably be long for the Skyliner home so went up to Toy Story land. Walked to an almost empty Jessie queue and walked straight on swirling saucers. Looped round Star Wars land, looks smart in the dark and saw plenty storm troopers (Neve waved at them but no waves back!). Chewie was on the go too.
Neve fell asleep on the way out, walked straight into a Skyliner and back home to bed. So much better than busses as she can stay in pram. The last couple of days are going by so quickly! Magic tomorrow!
Great pics, especially the squirrel one You are almost tempting me to try the Skyliner!
A little lefty there! Everyone is born right-handed… only the best of us can overcome that.
Honestly you should. I’m sad to have to take the bus to MK today!
She is indeed left handed. Which is funny cause neither of us are!
We’ll be at POFQ so they won’t be massively convenient! But by the time of our next trip they may have expanded, who knows.
#allergytoddler
Day 13 - Magic Kingdom and Springs
After late night last night Neve slept until about 9am. I harp on about her sleep loads but this is amazing sleep for her! Picked up allergy waffles and sausages (but prob for the last time!) and got a bus out to magic kingdom. Missed the Skyliner!
Caught the friendship Faire at the castle. Love this and felt quite teary when Anna and Elsa were on. These are Neve’s favourites and this was the last time we would see them. From here we had a fast pass to meet Ariel (no photo pass photographer weirdly though) and walked on to Under the Sea.
Picked up adult snacks - Cheshire cats tail and the slushy from same place (nicest slushy we have had) and Mickey waffle with strawberries and cream from sleepy hollow. This one is a must! Loaded up a BTMR rider swap and caught the end of the dance party at the castle and followed it down Main Street. Neve has also loved this, think we’ve seen it 3 times.
Meet Tink was next. Was a bit chaotic with a family in front who had phone issues and a toddler than wanted to just nap on the floor. There was no actual photographer here, was the photobox thingy. Haven’t checked to see what the photos look like.
Stopped at Cosmic rays for air con and a rest and used our last snack credit on a frozen drink. Yup we’ve used them all up with technically 2 days to go. Sad times!!! Our fast pass for Winnie the Pooh turned into any anytime pass as Pooh was down. Neve got a high 5 from
Tigger as he was going on a break and she did the speedway with himself. Teacups for the millionth time and then we went to the Dumbo play area while himself did BRMR. we didn’t actually ride dumbo, just played for about 20 mins then off to get a spot for the parade.
Parade was brilliant as ever. Bonus for Neve being seeing Anna and Elsa again and the big inflatable dude who’s name I can’t recall - she thinks he’s hilarious (think i got a photo, I’ll add it in). Shopping afterwards to cool down. We got a new oven glove, Olaf mug, a princess aurora soft toy. It’s very pricey but love Disney shopping!
Back to hotel and a swim in the main pool. Picked her up some allergy fries to keep her going. Took ages this time. Changed and Uber our to Springs. Managed to get a walk in for Paddleboat. Best food we have had while we have been here (although we haven’t eaten at any table serves so not much to compare it too). We both had steak and himself had a lobster tail too. Server didn’t bring us bread or top up water despite asking but did have a number of magic tricks for Neve so deserved his tip.
Some more shopping but it was a little rushed as Neve was starting to act up (to be fair she was tired). Got her a Princes hoody (it was very expensive, her birthday is soon though), some chocolate for FIL and xmas decorations. 2 for us and one for MIL. They have been looking after our dogs while we are away. Uber back home and that’s us done
Last Disney day tomorrow. Animal
Kingdom in the morning and not sure what after that. Am really quite sad that our Disney adventures are nearly over but looking forward to Universal.
Photos from phone only as can’t get photopass to update.
#allergytoddler
Day 14 - Animal Kingdom
Another long lie! Got a bus to animal kingdom about 10. Himself went off to do his FOP FP and Neve and I saw the Tam Tam drummers then went to yak and yeti for breakfast. She got hash brown bites whilst I had yogurt granola. Had to pay as we are all out of credits we were also the last to get served for breakfast so very lucky. Himself swapped me out and I went to do FOP and they went to meet Mickey. Queue times are really high today and there are loads of the love bugs too. To the point that they were really annoying us.
Well FOP went down while I was in the video briefing. Didn’t last too long but first time I’ve seen it get stuck. Himself said someone had got stuck in their chair on his ride so not feeling too hopeful for a clean ride at this point! But it all went well, I wasn’t thrown by the fuzziness this time and noticed there are loads of different smells that I’ve not noticed before.
Neve and himself met Minnie and and Mickey and followed Kevin the bird for a bit. Then of course it was character time: Daisy, Donald, Chip and Dale and then Goofy. Her autograph book is almost full.
Final ride in Disney () was Everest. Neve loves watching this one. Picked up Mac n cheese from 8 spoon (pulled pork for me and shrimp for himself). And that was our time up in Disney parks. A final photo pass photo on the way out and we were really sad to be leaving.
Got off bus at old port royal to buy a pandora charm to sort room bill (). Back to room to pack (very full suitcases now!) and then we took the Skyliner across to Art of Animation to have dinner and used our final QS credits. Was nice for a change and I even got a Prosecco as the drink!
Back to CBR and a final swim and that’s us done Disney. So many memories, so many character meets, autographs, photo pass photos and souvenirs. We have had an amazing time and it’s hard to resist talking about when we are coming back. I’ll do a proper round up/tips post once back but onwards to universal!
