That is where I read it as well. But couldn’t find anything that was directly from Disney.

Who actually runs D23? Is it Disney or a 3rd party that just has a good in with them?
Wasn’t obvious when I was a member for a few years. You can login to your D23 account with your Disney login, but does feel like a 3rd party or totally separate team.
I found out more things about events or exclusive pin/merch deals from the Unnofficial D23 Gold Members Facebook group than I ever did directly from being a gold member. It has been mostly dead in there lately.
My family was buying me full D23 membership for my birthday each year as I was hoping to go to some D23 events, but timing never worked out so I asked them to let it lapse this year.
