Oooooo. If the GV were conveniently located to the dinner plans and/or it was going to be a resort day during the day (which will it be for you while they are UOR?) I would say DO IT. For the simple reason of: how many times are you going to ge this group together and stay one night in a GV ever again?
But since dinner is at Poly & the group will be gone to UOR for the day then I would also lean no.
Would your plans that day change based on if you moved to a GV or not? And would the group going to UOR leave you in charge of arranging the check-out/transfer of the stuff with bell services so they could be off on their other adventure to UOR? Those would all be questions I would ask myself if I were in your shoes.
If it were a park day where I was starting early I would probably just stay put with the current plan. But if my plans were more relax and do a resort/pool/late park start I might consider the move, so long as everyone going to UOR leaves their bags ready for bell services before they depart.
This gets my vote. I would put it in the category of one of those things that sounds great in advance, but is more burden than it is worth on the day of the move over.
@OBNurseNH same over here - I leave Wednesday the 25 and we’re staying in a 2 bedroom at Saratoga and I keep checking availability each day wondering if I should change to somewhere else for a night. But then I think about the hassle of moving and Saratoga is one of the lowest point levels. So I will probably just keep it at Saratoga.
If your last day was a resort day I would be all over DO IT!!!
but with Universal all day and then supper out somewhere (how great would it be to have some nice meal delivered to your Grand Villa!)
I guess it is a pass.
You ask the kind of question that can only be answered by the person you see in the mirror.
Will this be a hassle, or will it be an adventure? We’ve switched resorts on the last day on two previous trips. In our case it was fun. But then it was only with the two of us, sleeping beauty & me. We didn’t have an extended family tagging along. Good luck deciding … there is no wrong choice with this one!
