Just bought tickets for our flight. 
I paid extra so we can have seats assigned. I hate that they even offer a fair without seat assignments. It’s so deceptive. But with four kids, it’s simply not an option to leave seating up to chance.

What’s the one in 33 days? I think the one in ~117 is your annual family trip, which is a couple of weeks before mine this year.

I’m going solo and running the princess half marathon! Yes, the 117 day one is our family trip and then I snuck in another “short” family trip for the holidays. 
I am keeping that one low key- One day at each park to hit the holiday highlights and some resort time!

With four kids and relatively few options from PHX > MCO direct, it’s risky for me to wait. But absent that concern I would ideally buy when prices dip at ~3 months.

I think I waited too long but I’m medium happy with what we ended up with. We are just under 3 months out. We are going on a vacation week so some of the prices are just outrageous. We will have to connect on the way home but through JFK so I am not too worried.
The truly weird thing is that my mother and I were seeing dramatically different prices for some flights based on 2 people vs 4 people. I saw a few for $100 but they were only for 1 person.

I’m flying Economy on American (direct) and was happy to get under $700 including taxes and fees, so please make sure to temper your outrage accordingly!
