Guys, not what I needed to hear! I went to 41w5d with my son and was kiiiinda hoping to be around say 39/40 with this next one coming up. Thankfully I squeaked in the day before my induction was scheduled.
Only in Europe will they “let” you go past 42 weeks too!

Both of my 42-weekers were born in the States. My first was in Alaska where my doctor was an older guy (60s, probably) who was very much in favor of letting me go late as long as everything was ok. My second doctor was ok with letting me go late because according to my LMP I was only a week late, so their medical records don’t indicate I was so late delivering. But I took a pregnancy test on day 24 that came back positive, so I knew I was further along than going by LMP.
I hope your next baby is born earlier…it’s no fun being pregnant that long! My second came early for me…39w3d. I think it was Istanbul’s hills that did it!
